No, these builds simply originated as vhd from microsoft.

P.S. One of the posters (a reliable source) from torrents.ru has informed of a new compile added to the win7_rtm branch: 7260.0.090612-21xx

OIC....thanks for the correction. :D

7260???????????????????? :o

That would explain why we're only seeing .vhd files after 7229.

Interesting... is that one an installable .iso or also just a .vhd?

No info other than the build number and date provided by the poster.

7260???????????????????? :o

Poster also wrote that the jump to 7260 signifies a milestone (in this case it seems the milestone is the first build of the win7_rtm branch).

7260.0.090612-2110

but build date of the re-compiled 7232 is 090613........??

(6.1.7232.0.winmain.090613-0700) and 7:00 a.m. ??

The recompile of the current leaked build could very well be a newer build than that first build in the win7_rtm branch. It could be that the mentioned 7260 was based on the 7232 that was leaked. I am obviously just guessing. Furthermore, it wouldn't surprise me if the only difference between the 7232 compiles and 7260 was the activation/expiration related code changes.

Wzor has also added info on the win7_rtm branch and say that all builds in this branch are rtm candidates (not surprisingly). They also added the full build tag: 6.1.7260.0.win7_rtm.090612-2110.

RTM and has the beta fish wall?

I know that it could be changed by the poster but its hard if anyone has the RTM build to first change the wall to the ones Beta & RC had and then post a screenshot of the final version of Win7.

Agreed.. I only noticed that after I had posted it.. I'll see if I can get some more information.

hello from Italy.

But RTM , will be very fastest aftrer RC official build???

I ask this , because official RC on my PC ( intel-core2 quad+ ati 4870+ 8 gb of ram) , is slowest from beta and it's fast same windows vista sp2.

I am very boring, I hope in win7 fastest from vista sp2 ( open applications, window explorer folders and file navigation) , but I creed that this not will be true!

Windows 7 for me so far has been faster than Vista all the way. You should have no problems.

Yes, it makes sense to make a build number jump for the Rtm candidates

Looks like it won't be long anymore until final Rtm is done, which will get another small jump to 7300.

    • I just wish they would put more love into Virtual Desktops. There is just so much more they could do.
    • Sounds like you just skimmed over the review, I answer all those questions in it. Although I admit I did not test if DTS works over the headphones, when I get some time I will test this. My personal use case is more speaker-driven (I cover this in the review too).
    • It actually does the same exact thing as yours, 7.1 virtual surround over headphones. From the product page: "Experience sound that surrounds you with 7.1 virtual surround, delivering a wider, more immersive soundstage for movies, games, and music." So both of them are two channel, with 7.1 virtual surround that only work in Headphones mode.
