that doesnt even make sense. Where you happy when the US didnt win in olypmics basketball in 04, because afterall they are really the only "true" baseketball nation?

It does make sense. Brazil have a rich footballing history.

Even if you don't account for Brazil's history, you cannot deny that they deserved to win yesterday and alongside that they played the more entertaining football in my eyes.

Besides, I couldn't care less about basketball.

Hes just being the typical person that he has always been. The US played very well and it was disappointing to see them give up the lead.

I knew you would try and clip yourself onto reidtheweek01, get over yourself.

They need to ban that retarded horn that the crowd blows during football matches in south Africa for the world cup next year, else we'll all be watching with the sound on mute, it's terrible, it's just a constant annoying buzzing noise that makes it sound like the stadium has been invaded by bee's

Oh, that's what the sound was! I was wondering what it was. Yeah, they should defo ban it!

Anyone else thought this game was outright boring? We (US) playing too technical of a game and always had a lot of people back for defense whenever Brazil attacked. Brazil are nowhere close to the 2002 World Cup team. Not much enthusiasm from them.

The vocab of ESPN commentators are nowehere near as articulate or enthusiastic as the Premier League commentators. "What a save, what a goal, what a pass..." >_< At least use a word that's not either "Amazing or great". This is not NHL or NBA!

that was indeed annoying! i also thought that there are bees in the stadium :p

That'll never happen.

They are gonna have to respect the African culture and deal with it..

no, it doesnt make sense... by your logic the team who has the most "history" in the sport deserve to win?... thats the most illogical statement about any sporting event... the team that PLAYS the best should "deserve" to win.

Yeah true. I wanted USA to win. Brazil were just too good in the second half.

Yeah, although they should have lost based on their first half performance, it was dire to say the least.

+9001

Overall it was great to see some of the underdogs out perform the huge footballing teams the world has to offer right now, I'm really looking forward to the World Cup already :D

I believe they are debating this right now. One suggestion was to allow it only during the SA games.

    • I can name 10x that on why not to switch.... It's funny outlook/office are going towards web app wrappers, and then MS is now preaching native apps again.... ugh can we just pick a lane and stay in it
    • Absolutely NOBODY has suggested such a conclusion. I am affirming the sober reality check that AV2's overall market adoption will take longer than AV1's adoption rate -- which, by the way, is the whole point of the article! While PCI-SIG is productive (on paper), other WGs have created all sorts of confusing progress plans that consumers have tuned-out of their improvements... HTML/W3C, USB, HDMI, BT, WIFI (ieee802.11) as a few other groups where spec naming conventions, split progress paths, overlapping ambitions... I'm not critiquing the AV specs group; I'm simply affirming that adoption for AV2 faces headwinds beyond the macroeconomics of it all.
