Windows 7 Release Delayed Because Of Bugs

Recommended Posts

According to winfuture.de sources close to Microsoft have confirmed that the compilation of the final Windows 7 build has been rescheduled.

Although the RTM (Release to Manufacturing) branch of development is said to have been ready on June 12, it was not possible to create the final version of Windows 7 - actually planned for June 19 - because of bugs. What kind of problem affected the development is unknown.

Looks like they're referring to the silent elevation issue. It's probably not a bad idea that they fix that before RTM.

That's an issue that have been hanging around for months. It would amazing if Microsoft only seriously considered this now (assuming this is exactly what they're doing). Well, it's better to be late than never...

Might get more exposure in the Windows 7 Beta forum.

I hope they fix the router bugs and bluetooth issues as well. A lot of people I know, including me are experiencing them

that sounds more like driver problem.

i also had problem with Nokia USB untail they just updated PC suite , now everything running rock solid !

Release date is October 22 so they still have plenty of time.

Haha, no they don't :o! That's the date that it must be in stores, i.e shipped around the world, burn onto millions of discs and installed and tested on millions of PC's that will ship with it.

The new RTM release date they've set for themselves is apparently 13 July.

Fix the bugs, don't listen to fanboys.

I never installed any drivers before for my Wi-Fi router or DSL Modem. So I don't see what the driver problem could be. The problems have only come up after shifting to 7.

Latest update is that Windows 7 will be out after July 6th. I got this from my inside source.

It'll RTM after July 6th? No **** Sherlock. I find it funny when people say it'll be released after a certain date and not on a certain date, that's pretty much a given.

It's like saying Windows 7 will be released after January 1, 2009. Of course, right? Anyway, I just hope Microsoft sticks to the July 13 date for the RTM build.

Oh now, the anti-Microsoft campaign is starting again...

There has never been a bug with UAC. I agree with Microsoft about the issue; if a script can change the UAC, then it means that the security was already compromised to begin with. If OS X allows a user to write a script to change security settings (which can easily be done with keyboard/mouse emulation), does that man that the adminstrator security prompt is insecure....seriously...sigh

    • Call of Duty: Vanguard, EA Sports FC 26, and more come to Xbox Game Pass by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Microsoft is in the process of making some big changes to Xbox Game Studios right now, which might include studio shutdowns, but Game Pass drops aren't pausing for that. The second wave of June was just announced, unveiling another Call of Duty addition, the latest soccer game from EA, an indie road trip hit from last year, and more. While Microsoft said it won't put Call of Duty titles on Game Pass on the day of launch anymore, older titles keep landing, with the latest one being 2021's Call of Duty: Vanguard. Here are all the games that were announced today for Xbox Game Pass, their platforms, and arrival dates: Junkster (Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, Handheld, and PC) – June 16 Call of Duty: Vanguard (Cloud, Console, and PC) – June 17 EA Sports FC 26 (Cloud, Console, and PC) – June 18 Abyssus (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC) – June 25 RV There Yet? (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC) – June 30 Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 (Cloud, Console, and PC) – July 2 Winds of Arcana: Ruination (Cloud, Console, Handheld, and PC) – July 6 From the bunch, Junkster is the sole day-one drop into Game Pass libraries of this selection. As new games arrive, eight will be leaving the Game Pass programs on June 30. Here's the full list of leaving titles: Mecha Break (Cloud, Console, and PC) Payday 2 (Console) Rise of Tomb Raider (Cloud, Console, and PC) Tomb Raider (Cloud, Console, and PC) Slay the Spire (Cloud, Console, and PC) Ultimate Chicken Horse (Cloud, Console, and PC) Volcano Princess (Cloud, Console, and PC) Unpacking (Cloud, Console, and PC) With June drops finished, Microsoft should have a new Game Pass announcement in about two weeks to reveal the first wave of games coming to subscribers in July. Already confirmed games for the month include the Halo: Campaign Evolved remake, Corsair Cove, SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed, and Mistfall Hunter.
