Didn't think we'd get anything out of the Arsenal game and we did well for the most part but Arsenal prove they are the best footballing side in the UK for entertainment. Almunia should have saved our goal but like our keeper he has problems with crosses.

Got Chelsea next and serioously not looking forward to it :(

No, best part was Ferguson fuming again! He's hilarious!

..or ridiculous rather.

To be fair I think he has a point this time, the referee 's performance indicates that he was a closet Chelsea fan. United where hard done by no doubting it.

2-2 from a rather fortuitous penalty, and applying the pressure, there's life in this one yet :D

Is it your blind hate towards Chelsea or plain amnesia that is behind you forgetting Evans' foul on Drogba inside the box?

Nope, like usual Drogba dived for it. Like I stated before, Drogba spends so much time diving I think you Chelsea fans have forgotten what real injuries, and fouls are. The simple fact is, that 2 seriously poor decisions cost united a point, and I can assure you that as a Liverpool fan, times of me having any sympathy for man united are few and far between, but in this circumstance I feel they where hard done by. Debate it all you want, the goal shouldn't have been allowed to stand and that is a fact. Hell you guys where shouting loudly enough when you felt the ref 'robbed' you against Barcelona, but when that argument is turned on its head you guys simply can't accept it.

Matches aren't "lost" on the decisions on a whole, but the ones that lead to goal(s) and in that sense Man Utd were hard done by that free kick/then foul in box.

However you can't put all the blame on one/two decisions, we didn't finish our chances well.

The reason its slightly harder to take a one goal loss in this case is both teams played very evenly, and that only magnifies the decisions of the referee. If it was much more one sided it's easier to accept a defeat due to your team overall playing much poorly and not deserving anything, but I wouldn't say that was the case seeing as Chelsea have been destroying teams goal wise and Man Utd played without Vidic/Ferdinand. They held off well and gave Chelsea a good game.

It would've been much nicer to see a team finishing with a win without the drama :p

It's a worrying trend though, for me the standard of refereeing in the premier league is poor, and is something that desperately needs to be looked at.

Nope, like usual Drogba dived for it.
It was a crystal-clear red card for me,and although he was probably faking after the foul that doesn't make it any less than a foul.

Agreed

Not really

And the penalty I mentioned earlier might have cost us a goal

You've already said who you wanted to win,so your opinion on that matter is very biased.
Debate it all you want, the goal shouldn't have been allowed to stand and that is a fact.
I'm not so sure about that either,I didn't see Drogba being offside and it looked like he hauled Wes Brown down, but I think that Brown should have been stronger.
Hell you guys where shouting loudly enough when you felt the ref 'robbed' you against Barcelona, but when that argument is turned on its head you guys simply can't accept it.
You may have a point there but IMHO 3 penalties on a CL quarter final are much more important than a 2 fouls in any league game.

Nope, but it makes Drogba a playacting scumbag

I have opinions on who I want to win most games, I guess by your logic I must be biased against everyone then? Your comments have shown you to be just as biased against Liverpool anyway, so it is just another hypocritical case of pot, kettle, black.

You are bound to say that, but the fact of the matter is that bad refereeing costing a side any form of result is unacceptable regardless of the occasion, and number of screwups, just your attempt to put a pro chelsea spin on something you really have no cogent argument against.

What does that have to do with it being a foul or not?

Yes,but in 2009 we have replays:
Gerrard too injured to dive with his usual flair maybe?

N'Gog dived brilliantly to earn the penalty for Liverpool.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iL5fRE9AZ2c...layer_embedded#

Absolutely no contact

What does that have to do with it being a foul or not?

Plenty. It is called unsportsmanlike conduct and it is against the rules of the game

And that is relative to your hypocritical rant about me being biased, when you are just as biased against Liverpool how?

Yep, that was pretty poor behaviour from N'Gog and the pen shouldn't have been given, no question about that, I just find it funny that Chelsea fans are throwing slurs at Liverpool when they have on their team one of the biggest divers in all forms of football (only one that can even touch Drogba for pathetic diving is Ronaldo). Difference is though I can be objective about it and face the fact that shouldn't have been given, some you win some you lose I guess.

You gotta give the boy some credit,he puts to shame both Ronaldo and Drogba.

Sure is. One incident against a whole career's worth (and then some in Drogba's case) for the 2 you mentioned. Seriously, you are more biased than I am, haven't you realised how hypocritical you sound yet?

Nope, but you post with this 'holier than thou' attitude constantly throwing insults of Bias against me, when you are no better, if not worse yourself.

Seriously, you are just making yourself look silly.

Anyway I don't want to drag this offtopic again, so keep the discussions about the football please, I don't want to add more people to my ignore list alongside gregb0b, I try to keep that as a last resort, but I am starting to lose patience with you, and I am also losing interest in discussing football with you.

[...]
I was about to comment on what you said, but then again..

Why don't you discuss football in a Liverpool only forum?

Or even a forum where open Chelsea supporters get their IP banned?

I agree with this quote:

Liverpool FC. A disgusting club supported by disgusting fans and employing disgusting cheating players.

And I'm sure you'd agree with something like this :

Liverpool FCChelsea FC. A disgusting club supported by disgusting fans and employing disgusting cheating players.

So why don't we just agree that we're both biased as **** and wait till your team's next humiliation?

So why don't we just agree that we're both biased as **** and wait till your team's next humiliation?

I am done debating with you, it is clearly a waste of my time as you obviously lack the intelligence to do anything apart from sitting there constantly flaming Liverpool fans. I also seriously object to your accusation that I think all Chelsea fans are scum, FYI my own mother supports Chelsea, but then I am not quiet as hate filled as you so I guess I don't really understand your position. Regardless, you are one more flame filled post away from being stuck onto my Ignore list so kindly stop the flaming please.

Edit: The ignore button has been used for the second time in less than 48 hours, time to resume talking about the football :) sorry folks

    • Who wants to pay higher prices for the same 6+ year hardware in a new shell? This is hardware where things change fast and improve continuously. They could update w/ quicker/more efficient compute, faster storage, new controllers with new features (not a shell/design update), which are all realistic possibilities. They've done mid-generation console updates, but all we've had for Series X/S are not just different configuration updates (storage / digital versions / console aesthetics). Instead they've prioritized acquisitions, increasing prices, and have lost quite bit of their fan base because of lack of vision.
    • LibreOffice developer takes a dig at Euro-Office in new open letter by Usama Jawad LibreOffice maintainer The Document Foundation (TDF) has often criticized Microsoft for popularizing the OOXML standard for documents instead of the truly open-source OpenDocument Format (ODF). It has also bashed the Redmond tech giant for putting its own commercial interests over everything else. Now, it has switched targets a bit to aim its sights at the Euro-Office suite launching tomorrow. For those unaware, Euro-Office is a direct fork of OnlyOffice. It is being marketed as an open-source "European sovereign alternative" to proprietary services like Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. It is being developed by a coalition of European companies including Nextcloud, IONOS, and Tuta. However, TDF has disagreed with this marketing classification in an open letter, saying that it is not the first open-source office suite being developed in Europe, as that honor belongs to OpenOffice.org, back in 2001. In a snide remark, it has emphasized that it feels "compelled" to clarify this because open-source initiatives should highlight transparency, not deception. It has stated that OpenOffice.org and LibreOffice are the only two "genuine" office suites with codebases in Europe, indicating that Euro-Office is a freeware clone of Microsoft Office that has rebranded itself to masquerade as a symbol of digital sovereignty. TDF has also remarked on the fact that those that are championing digital sovereignty now were very dismissive of LibreOffice and ODF a couple of decades ago: The LibreOffice has once again called out Microsoft for its "horrible" OOXML standard which locks in customers. Euro-Office also leverages this OOXML format, which effectively makes it an ally of Microsoft, according to LibreOffice. That said, it is unlikely if TDF's strong words will have any impact on the adoption or marketing of Euro-Office.
    • Apple finally brings the slider for Liquid Glass and many other changes by Aditya Tiwari Apple kicked off the official live stream of the WWDC 2026 annual developer event. The company began its latest wave of announcements with changes to the controversial Liquid Glass design language, which debuted last year across Apple's entire software ecosystem. A lot of people didn't like Liquid Glass when it first arrived on iPhone and other devices last year. The devices were plagued with transparency issues and whatnot. While Apple improved things over the year, it has now added a new Liquid Glass slider that lets you switch the transparency from clear to opaque. In other words, you can choose the amount of Liquid Glass you want to see on your iPhone instead of an on/off switch, which would only give you two choices. The sidebars now expand to the edge of the window. When you scroll the UI sideways, the refraction continues beneath the sidebar rather than being cut off at the boundary. Moreover, sidebar icons keep their color. Apple has changed the way Liquid Glass is rendered across the system. There is a separation between different layers, which makes buttons in the toolbar stand out from the background. Apple said it "deeply appreciates" the feedback it received from users and has made adjustments to Liquid Glass. New customizations allow Liquid Glass to improve contrast and enable a more vibrant appearance. The new icons have sharper edges, which addresses an old complaint that iOS 26 icons look blurry at smaller sizes. The upgraded Liquid Glass, Apple said, is building on last year's design upgrades by "integrating additional layers of Liquid Glass directly into the artwork itself." Apple's upgraded design language is available on iOS 27, which is arriving this year with no changes to the list of supported iPhones.
    • FWIW, I've been using Helium on Linux and Windows since the first time it was mentioned here. Actually, maybe a day or 3 before, as I searched for it when I saw it mentioned on the MX Linux forums. Haven't had a single issue on either OS. Not bad for a beta.
    • See up until a few years ago y'all could get away with simply denying your war crimes, pretending it never happened. Unfortunately for you, it's the 2020s and Israel's genocide has been livestreamed in real time. You have to be dumber than a rock to think anyone still believes your propaganda. See the cat is already out of the bag. The world already knows who you are so do yourself a favor and just drop the facade. Bet it gets real tiring keep track of all the lies. Take some inspiration from Israeli ministers who boast on live TV they like massacring civilians. Every zionist accusation is after all a confession.
