This season is ridiculous, 4 teams competing for the last Champions League spot and 1 point between them? There's about 4 mini leagues going on about the amount separated by around 7 or so points. The top 3, 4th spot competitors, mid-tablers, and the relegation contenders.

yeah the relegation battle which is what matters to me is crazy, one loss and your right back in there again!

TBH though Rappy 1 relegation place has gone as Pompey are all but down. The Premier League aren't interested in saving them so they'll let the Football League (if they haven't been wound up by then) deal with them so they save face. The other 2 places could go to who drops the most points between now and the end of the season. I would love to see Burnley stay up with Wolves but if it came down to it I'm more interested in Wolves. I'd be quite happy if the table stay like it is now (well the bottom half anyway).

yeah Pompey are done for, but yeah I would love to see Bolton and Hull go mainly because Phil Brown is a ****

Seems to me that Liverpool hold the key to who wins the title.. they still have Man U and Chelsea to play and fingers crossed Torres will come back and tear those two apart.. leaving us on the verge of winning the trophy.. and securing a top 4 spot for 'Pool in the process :p

Portsmouth will go into administration by Friday unless a buyer is found for the Premier League's bottom club.

If Pompey enter administration they will be docked nine points, but the winding up order against them due to be heard on 1 March will be suspended.

A spokesman for Pompey owner Balram Chainrai said: "There is now only a short window of opportunity for buyers to come in with a credible offer.

"Having the club wound up is not an option as far as we are concerned."

Portsmouth have debts of ?70m and the winding up order was over ?7.5m owed to HM Revenue and Customs.

The spokesman said: "The serving of this notice [that Portsmouth intend to appoint an administrator] means the winding up order is automatically suspended.

"It means the club is safe, it can fulfil its fixtures and as far as is possible it is business as usual.

"Administration would mean the club re-emerging as a healthy financial entity.

"It would then become an attractive proposition for a potential buyer who could invest new funds in rebuilding the club's future.

"Mr Chainrai hopes the supporters will get behind the team for their Premier League match at Burnley on Saturday and the following weekend's FA Cup quarter-final at home to Birmingham.

"We would like to ask the fans, staff and management of Portsmouth for their support and patience should this step be taken as we believe it is the only route left open."

One of the parties interested in buying the troubled club has revealed he will not be able to take over the club ahead of Monday's winding up petition.

New Zealand-based businessman Victor Cattermole is considering buying Pompey through his investment group but told The Guardian newspaper: "In an ideal world, we would like to purchase the club before Monday, but we will not be rushed."

Should have gone into Admin back in January when they still had a chance of staying up instead of messing about. Don't think it'll matter too much with Peter Storrie there, how the hell is this bloke still there when he's up on a corruption charge? Feel sorry for the fans on how badly their club is being run by crooks who will no doubt get away with it. Was reading something earlier about Barry Hearn (Leyton Orient chairman) who said that clubs who go into Administration should be relegated 2 Divisions automatically, not sure how this would work though although I'm sure this is what they do in the Italian league isn't it? Anyway here's the article I apologies it's the Sun: Barry Hearns on Admin

Either way this is getting too much of a joke now.

Having seen abit of the 2nd half Rooney is causing alot of problems for your defenders as they can't seem to mark him. For both goals they were free headers, Saying that Man Utd should have gone 2-0 1 minute after the break as Park hit the Crossbar.

I'll be more than happy if Rooney can take this form into the World Cup.

We really slept during the first 30 minutes. It was much better after. Rooney is just phenomenal at the moment, if he continues like that, and Engand do something in the World Cup he can be Ballon D'Or.

And on an another note I hope it isn't too bad for Anderson, I like him.

I would love for Liverpool to take away 6 points from them two. And allow for Arsenal to bypass them in the process :D

    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • I have disabled it, but the app is still taking space. I have a Mac and it is only possible to disable Ai on that, but I think that bit does get rid of the AI components after a while. What we are told is that we agree to all this when we use the devices as it is in the end user agreements, their software, they can do what they like. I doubt that any bill will happen in the U.S, the government there are in league with big tech firms. The E.U maybe, they seem to have some guts when it comes to tech companies. The U.K is not in the E.U, but some things still affect us. Our government is as gutless when it comes to tech companies as the U.s government.
