nubs Share Posted January 26, 2010 I pre-ordered this game while they were advertising access to the alpha. I have to say that probably wasn't such a good idea because the game is so far from finished that I don't really see the benefit in giving people access to it. All of those graphics shown in the screen shots are missing from the alpha so when you actually play, all you have are very simplistic pictures and no real animation to speak of. I wouldn't get too excited about this game until its closer to release time.
Buio Share Posted January 31, 2010 I guess its quite certain that this game will also be Impulse only, especially with its multiplayer tied to it.

Buio Share Posted February 2, 2010 Ok, so it will be in retail too. I don't know why, but I got the notion of it being digital only. Guess I was mixing it up with something else.

Andre S. Veteran Share Posted June 3, 2010 I must say the characters models look great. The color palette still makes me feel like throwing up, but if I ever manage to put that aside, it could be fun nonetheless. It's nice to have a new contender in the TBS realm.
Buio Share Posted June 4, 2010 I must say the characters models look great. The color palette still makes me feel like throwing up, but if I ever manage to put that aside, it could be fun nonetheless. It's nice to have a new contender in the TBS realm. I'm also not fully sold on the style, but I think it's "ok", and the graphics have improved a lot since early pics. Some more new info about the game has been posted; Modding in Elemental (2/6) http://forums.elementalgame.com/383294 June FAQ (3/6) http://forums.elementalgame.com/383339 (contains two videos of the game, mapmaking and city/map showoff) A great introduction to the game is available on their forum, made and updated by a fan: Elemental for Dummies (what Elemental is about) http://forums.elementalgame.com/374531 Three new previews (2-3/6) are also available now; IGN preview, Big download and Gamespot. Buio Share Posted July 3, 2010 Personally I can't see how it's gonna be ready for late August. That's less than 2 months away, and it's a complex strategy game that's currently being beta-tested in versions that only have some parts of the game enabled.
Island Dog Author Partner Share Posted July 6, 2010 Different parts of the game are enabled/disabled to narrow down specific areas that feedback is needed on. The overall game internally is ahead.

+LostCat Subscriber² Share Posted July 19, 2010 Different parts of the game are enabled/disabled to narrow down specific areas that feedback is needed on. The overall game internally is ahead. Good to know...I'd personally be better off uninstalling and waiting for retail. It looks like it might well be a heck of a game once its done, even for those who don't generally go for turn based games like myself :)
nubs Share Posted July 22, 2010 Ive been playing and unfortunately I don't think its going to live up to Master of Magic. I know they are going for their own thing but it just seems like its missing a soul.

Buio Share Posted August 23, 2010 Bought and downloaded. Impulse has really nice download speeds, topped out my 100Mbit for the full download. Just started a game and played around a bit. Don't really know what to do and got killed by some bandits (I should have got a weapon first, heh). Image is my beginner town.
