One thing that I'm confused about the Mini P180 is it's form factor.

According to the Antec website this is a microATX case, therefore only microATX motherboards will fit?

Correct. As you can see in the image posted above it only has 4 expansion slots at the back instead of 7 (or 8) which are for full sized ATX Motherboards.

Hm. Too bad.

I'm basically limited to 460mm of height and this case would probably be ideal. Well, back to the beginning.

Any recommendations for a case similar to that one (sleek and simple) apart from Lian-Li?

That Mini P180 looks a better design than my old P182 - The drive bay layout has changed to offer more space, I wonder if the front casing itself has changed, I hate the new style Antec doors with the chav bodykit vents, why could they not keep it plain?

Quite hard to compare the two cases as one is a rather large Mid Tower and the other is a Mini-Tower. In essence it's a miniature P182 with a larger top exhaust fan and obviously less expansion slots.

And you had to quote the entire post just to say an oneliner?

@mrk, nice case. I've been looking at the V1000Z but it costs too much for what it's offering and yours is quite good alternative. I'm also looking at the Antec Mini P180 (anyone has one?) which seems to be quite spacious although the design is not on the same level as Lian-Li's.

How come you swapped the P182 which is bigger and roomier?

I got a P180 Mini quite recently to house my new rebuilt i7 system:

In short, I'm very pleased with it. Only slight annoynace is the colour of the front LEDs, should either both be blue or both white rather than one of each.

Its worth noting that the actual size of the case is the same as a standard ATX case. Its just the inside of it will only take a mATX board.

Great shots, everyone. I'm truly inspired by a lot of what I've seen here. But on another note, I can't believe there are idiots in here questioning someone else's sexual orientation due to posters and desktop wallpaper. Are you kidding me? You asked for a shot of his work area, so he posted, and you people have to bring him down. Even if he is gay, who cares? It's a thread about workstations!

Sorry missed your post! it's a Powerball arm exercise gyro, very cool!

Also tamilboy, did you get your Xbox 360 cabinet thing from Ikea?

Nope, I bought it from "IDE m?bler " Denmark only. It was made to be mounted on the wall, but i didn't want to:))

i have the antec p180 mini and i hate it, very poorly though out case.

You cant have a long graphics card in as well as the bottom drive bay caddy which means you lose 3 hdd slots straight away, and you also cant have a fan at the front of the case at the same time as a drive bay caddy so no matter what you do you always lose 1 of the drive bays, everything is really cramped and difficult to work in, id recommend people steer WELL clear of this case.

Bit of a pointless case seen as its as tall as a midi atx case which can take full atx boards but yet you can only fit micro atx boards in the 180 mini.

Elbow grease!

You're going to o_0 when you see the new PSU installed now though below lol

I got an OCZ ModXtreme 600watt and also a Zalman Fanmate2 for the intake fan as on my mobo only one fan header (other than the CPU) can be voltage controlled from the OS and I wanted my 3rd fan slowed down to be less audible (I have super ears hah!).

Anyway, All fans are now running 700-900rpm and are uber silent, before I could hear the front fan's ambient hum but now not so. A baby could sleep with the PC on. Definitely.

WOW!~ :woot:

That is one very nice tower. I am almost afraid to look inside mine now. :(

Mousepad is temporary :p

Nice light room, I had to turn the light on to get a good shot of mine (It is 6:23 but very overcast!), this won't be the same tomorrow, as it's my last day here before I head to University!

    • VidCoder 12.20 by Razvan Serea VidCoder is a DVD/Blu-ray ripping and video transcoding application for Windows. It uses HandBrake as its encoding engine. Calling directly into the HandBrake library gives it a more rich UI than the official HandBrake Windows GUI. VidCoder can rip DVDs but does not defeat the CSS encryption found in most commercial DVDs. You’ll need the NET 8 Desktop Runtime. If you don’t have it, VidCoder will prompt you to download and install it. The Portable version is self-contained and does not require any .NET Runtime to be installed. You do not need to install HandBrake for VidCoder to work. Feature list: Multi-threaded MP4, MKV containers Completely integrated encoding pipeline: everything is in one process and no huge intermediate temporary files H.264, H.265, MPEG-4, MPEG-2, VP8, Theora video Hardware-accelerated encoding with AMD VCE, Nvidia NVENC and Intel QuickSync AAC, MP3, Vorbis, AC3, FLAC audio encoding and AAC/AC3/MP3/DTS/DTS-HD passthrough Target bitrate, size or quality for video 2-pass encoding Decomb, detelecine, deinterlace, rotate, reflect, chroma smooth, colorspace filters Powerful batch encoding with simultaneous encodes Customizable Pickers to automatically pick audio and subtitle tracks, destination, titles and more Instant source previews Creates small encoded preview clips Pause, resume encoding VidCoder 12.20 changes: Updated HandBrake core to 1.11.2. • Too soon, I'm still not over this death!
    • Normally, I admit when a title is clickbait (unfortunately, it's become somewhat necessary to compete against AI-dominated news sections today), but in this case, all supported versions is implied and doesn't need to be spelled out in the title. Of course, I'm covering a Patch Tuesday update bug that is only available to supported Windows SKUs. All our coverage relates to supported Windows software and SKUs only unless we expressly state that it's "unsupported", "unofficial", or "third-party". I'm sorry, but supported/official SKUs don't need to be spelled out as such in every Neowin headline.
