looks really good, i will have to keep an eye on this thread, i hope you enjoy neowin

Thank you. I need to finish up a fix soon...work is slow now that the semester is over, so I have a little more time to play while on the clock. As for enjoying neowin.net, I have been for quite some time. I'm just a forum n00b. Maybe I'll get around to changing that too. :shifty:

I was trying to figure out how to have just news, edited the neowin.php file and got it to work.

Example here with changed colors:

Yeah, there are mods to include/exclude. Just set value to 0 in neowin.php if you don't want something displayed.

In the meantime, I haven't had much time to work on updates. The little time I have goes towards rebuilding my site and my GF gets ****ed if I spend more than 20 minutes on the computer...

[/kickban girlfriend (hush...away...leave me alone for just ONE day)] ;)

I almost forgot about this until I received word it was moved. No one seems to have tinkered with it so maybe I'll spice things up in the next few weeks.

maybe there could be a way to get this to work on XP & have it installed by a script/installer/registry entry rather than manually setting it up? :)

nice work d00d can we tinker with the code to make this for other sites???

will u be releasing this under GNU (Doing this will make it go PLACES u never thought possible IMHO)

dewy?

For Neowin.net purposes, forum members can tinker away as they please. All I ask is that you share improvements for others to view. I'll add a more specific GNU clause on the download page.

The php is no secret so by all means have fun with it. As for modding for other sites, I strongly encourage you to request permission from the site first, as I did for Neowin (thanx again voodoo). Also, permission from the original author (madmatt.net) is necessary, depending on how you use it. He developed the original code and gave me permission to use it for Neowin's benefit. I take no credit for the work, all I did was replace a few variables:):)
