[PC] Section 8 BETA

Got one no problem. Thanks for the heads up (Y)

And I said nVidia because I didn't see your warning

My specs: Windows 7, Core 2 E6550 (2.33GHz), nVidia 9600GT

You're welcome! I was under the assumption that NVIDIA video cards wouldn't work, haha. I guess it checks for something else. Luck, perhaps?

I signed up for the European beta and you don't have to input any hardware. Just put your name, email addy and country.

Ah, I see. I checked it out and it looks like the European beta page doesn't link to FilePlanet. I guess it's different for Europeans.

By the way, I should totally be asleep right now. :pinch:

Well I just played a single match and it was pretty cool. Once I figured out what was going on and what I was supposed to be doing, it was a lot more fun.

It's not AMAZING, but it's really fun. The dropship thing is a great concept, and I like the sprinting and jets (which are both kind of necessary on such large maps). The fact that you can purchase deployable objects and vehicles is probably my favorite part.

Agreed. It's a nice change from your regular run-of-the-mill FPS. What really caught my eye is the level of customization for your character's loadout. Also, being able to purchase deployable structures and vehicles was cool. So far, so good. I'll definitely play some more when I get the chance.

The game isn't that good, they are forcing you to only play PvP, you cannot setup a game by yourself using bots as teammates & enemy, there seems to be two options that are not choosable from the start screen, etc.

Well, it is a public [MP] beta. Full functionality is reserved for the full game. That doesn't mean the game isn't good.

Great, Israel is once again not in Europe, Turkey seemed to somehow squeezed in, though.

I just chose Spain, don't know if they check it by IP or not..

Err and Since when Israel is Europe ? Turkey due to their "request" to join Europe might be considered , dont forget that Turkey acts like a Tampon Toward Europe and the "Islamic Countries" ( thats not the correct term but cant recall it right now )

Got in with Amd 9950 , 4gb , gtx260

I just wish they'd open up other parts of the game for people to test, not just the PvP.

Well when it comes down to it most fps games these days are made with pvp or multiplayer in mind. And to be fair just looking at the pictures on the site you can tell it's supposed to be a competitive pvp centered game.

When you load the game, and go to the start screen, do you see those two unselectable options?

When you load the game, and go to the start screen, do you see those two unselectable options?

That's because it's a multiplayer beta. The whole point of a multiplayer beta is to only test the multiplayer components. You can't sign up for a multiplayer beta and expect anything more than that

When you load the game, and go to the start screen, do you see those two unselectable options?

For your sake, I'm going to assume you've never played an MP beta. The two options are grayed out because they aren't testing the SP part of the game. They're testing the MP part for stability, usability, etc.

Fileplanet won't let me sign up. I click "Enlist" and nothing happens :(

Does that with every game I try to sign up on. By chance is it only for subscribers?

You don't have to have a paid subscription to fileplanet, no. But you do have to have a registered account there. Try disabling any ad blocking software on fileplanet. *shrug*

Clear your browser cache and sign into your account before clicking on "Enlist". Perhaps that'll help. To answer your question: the beta is open to anyone with a FilePlanet account (subscriber or otherwise).

    • XBOX is at the end of its generational life cycle and wasn't selling much anyway. They need to figure out the pricing for XBOX Helios. However, I'm not buying the DRAM shortage with AI preferring HBM. I think it's industry gouging.
