Electronic Cigarette? USB Powered Cigarette?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I have just seen this ad on facebook:

http://www.cigarti.com/

It is supposed to be an alternative to smoking. It has nicotine but no tar or smoke.

I thought that its a new idea but I found that many other companies make them:

So have you heard about it before? Have you tried it?

Is it really an alternative to smoking?

I had one, paid ?40+ for it I think, maybe more. It was like a ciggy but larger, looked the same and indeed it did produce "smoke" which was vapour. However it was pretty useless, it was heavy as hell with the large built in battery, so holding it like a regular ciggy was impossible. It also didn't give you the "kick" you needed unless you really inhaled, and finally I had to replace both chargers on mine because they kept breaking. I sent it back in the end.

I am not a smoker, but as a die hard technology fanatic, I find myself obliged to start!

i've ever test once. Prefer the real one. For the smoker,I think it's useless. It gives nothing

yes it gives you all the benefits of smoking but without the risk on your health also bragging right cause you can walk in to any place that is apart of the no smoking ban law and smoke this cause it is not part of the nno smoking ban law since it has no harmful chemicals or or anything of that kind

Yeah I was thinking about starting but its kinda expensive to switch to electronic, I'm not sure if I can get use to the electronic version.

I buddy at work smokes the electronic cigs. He says it is just as satisfying as a real cigarette. I always see him smoking at his desk. The first day he started smoking them our boss thought it was a real cig. and was going to send him home! :D

Well I recieved my order today, and have been trying them out. I got mine for smokingeverywhere.com. After using it for most the day and tonight, I find it actually does a great job of what its supposed to do. I have no problems with lose connections or anything. Yeah ya have to inhale a little harder (not as much as if ya were hitting a jay), and yeah its heavier then a smoke, but not enough that its uncomfortable to hold. The thing that takes getting used to is feeling it going into your lungs. Without the tars and what have you, its extremely smoother, to the point ya almost dont know that your getting the inhale of it, if ya know what I mean. I will defintely be switching to this, and dropping the regular smokes.

Is smoking used to be injurious to health after using these?

Well, your still getting the nicotine, but all the carcinogens are gone. So yeah, its not nearly as bad for ya. And you can choose how much of the nic ya get in the cartriges, anything from 0 to 16mgs.

If you want to smoke something just to look cool, you need to get a life.

I would argue that breathing anything except natural air is bad for you and would avoid these, also whilst nicotine is not harmful to your body, its certainly not good for it either (think caffeine)and the refills for these things will be harmful to your wallet.

I quit smoking cold turkey about 6 months ago and would never look back, the first 2 weeks are like you died and went to the coldest darkest pit of hell but its all good after that.

I found that taking up an exercise regime whilst quitting helped as it gave me an insight into the benifits stopping smoking was having, when I first quit I could only run for about 40-60seconds before my breathing ground me to a halt, now im able to run for a good 15-20 minutes and enjoying very second of it.

Arent they trying to ban these in the US ?

They certainly are, the concern is that this will entice none smokers to start using nicotine which could eventually lead to them grabbing whatever nicotine fix they can, grabbing packs of smokes being the most convinient and this is where the issue lies.

Oh dear god, since you quit, we all should, since your soo much better then the rest of us. Stop freakin going after my rights. Freakin liberals, its ok as long as they do it, if they decide they dont want to do it, no one should.
