I am also a tester of Office 2010 and so far I am not particularly happy with Outlook's stability. It crashes all the time, makes ost files corrupt and generally it cannot be used productively. Of course a beta should be used only for testing, but at this stage even that is extremely difficult with Outlook 2010. The other programs work ok though, since they didn't receive many changes, especially comparing with Outlook.

I look forward to Office 2010 when it becomes more stable, maybe with the next beta release, due this year.

I got my invite yesterday too. Question: do I need to uninstall the earlier build that I had installed from ummm, well, from somewhere else? I had been using that build since it first came out a few months ago. Or can I just install this build over the top of the earlier build?

I posted this on Connect too, but I'll also post it here, just in case:

"Well, in any of my Office apps, when I go to the Office menu in, say,

Word, go to Options and look to the right, at the top it says I have

a license for this product. Right. But then underneath it says that I

am using a trial version, which will become unlicensed in 29 days.

Next to that is a 'Licensing Operations' tab, and if I click that and

go to 'Activate Product', it looks as though it will, then it tells

me my product key is not valid. I used my key from my Connect user in

installation, which was valid and everything.

So what does all this mean? Its confused me."

As per the reply to your question in the beta newsgroup: https://connect.microsoft.com/office/Downlo...p;wa=wsignin1.0

;)

EDIT: Nevermind, didn't read the full thing on the Connect site. It's stupid not to offer the TP in x64 version, I wonder who's smart idea that was!

How come? Here is screenshot from my account and 64bit Office Installation Package.

    • Well again I do not mind seeing it charge my stuff if it does it well. "yeah charge my phone like that, charge it good"
    • Getting so tired of this push for that new useless slop over the less-useless old slop that at this point I just want M$ to have this nice, big, hearty cup of *FU*.
    • Brave Browser 1.91.168 by Razvan Serea Brave Browser is a lightning-fast, secure web browser that stands out from the competition with its focus on privacy, security, and speed. With features like HTTPS Everywhere and built-in tracker blocking, Brave keeps your online activities safe from prying eyes. Brave is one of the safest browsers on the market today. It blocks third-party data storage. It protects from browser fingerprinting. And it does all this by default. Speed - Brave is built on Chromium, the same technology that powers Google Chrome, and is optimized for speed, providing a fast and responsive browsing experience. Brave Browser also features Brave Rewards, a system that rewards users with Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) for viewing opt-in ads. This innovative system provides an alternative revenue model for content creators and a way to support the Brave community. SlimBrave Neo takes all the good things about Brave and makes them even better by keeping everything clean, light, and privacy-focused. It removes the extra clutter, turns off features you might not need, and cuts down on anything that could slow you down or collect unnecessary data. Because it relies on simple settings and policies instead of modifying the browser itself, you still get full Brave compatibility—just in a smoother, lighter, and more privacy-friendly package. • Thanks Microsoft but no, I find both iterations of Outlook terrible nowadays and switched back to Thunderbird at home.
