Nice update!

My suggestions are:

To put the home button in front of the top tabs

Give more glow to the bookmarks text

Make a Page button like the Tools one

Finally it would be good to hide the titlebar text and reduce the space of the top glass window border that surely will save a lot space on the screen.

Btw i really really like the top tabs feautre. :)

Hi, The home and page button will be the next thing for me to do. I have no idea how to do it though so I will have to wait for these guys' release and dissect it to see how they did it.

As for the titlebar, sadly all addons that remove the titlbar don't seem to work for me. Firefox breaks and becomes completely unusable with all of them. There are also issues with the space above the tabs and using the aero theme (there's around 4 pixels of extra space above the tabs currently). This issue has been documented as a bug somewhere. Basically, if I put the tabs further up, the border at the top of the browser contents starts acting weird. It's commented on inside the default theme too.

I might also point out that the creator of the tabs on top mockup completely redid the shadows for all of the buttons and urlbar. They appear with more of an outline and less of a shadow, so if I was to do a proper tabs on top theme I would have to redo all of the buttons :o I guess I will eventually... But it would take days of nothing but Photoshop and twice the css :D

I saw this topic and immediately switched to using Firefox again! However, I wasn't able to get it to work.

I thought I followed the directions, I've disabled all of my addons trying to figure this out:

For the funny buttons, turn off small icons.

Not sure about the rest :/

man, you work is perfect!

i'm can't waiting a realse =D

you have a link for donations?(paypal)

Thank you :).

That is a really kind gesture, but we are working on this theme from the goodness of our hearts, meaning it's 100% free. Thanks again though :).

Another week passes by with no release.

Lol, by the time this comes out, 3.7 will be out anyway, making this pointless.

Yes it is taking a bit, but it will be a LOT better with time. These guys do all this for free give them a break!

But I am waiting, Lol

O and love that screen-shot of FF without the title bar and just the tabs. Is there a addon for that? If not WHY!

Don't worry guys, a lot of work is being done on this theme, we want it to be as perfect as it can get :).

We are trying to come up with some variations including tabs-on-top, the latest 3.7 mockup, as well as 4.0, so it will take a bit of time.

We feel that it will be well worth the wait :D. We are also trying to work with Spewboy so we can eventually combine the two themes.

do you even have a clue when is that ha !

FF3.7

Q2 2010 ====> summer next year

not anytime soon as you might think

I also tried to remove the titlebar but unfortunately my firefox didn't have blur anymore. :/

Yeah, same happens here. I think the addon only works with non aero themes (although I haven't tried non-aero tabs on top yet..)

To everyone:

The plan for the Firefox 4 Mockup Redux theme is to combine my theme and the theme by the guys here into one with all the best bits from both. I will continue working on my individual theme, as it's a more personalized approach and some elements may not be to some people's liking, but it's my first ever theme and I like it :D. It will go by the name of Strata40, while the combined one will probably be Firefox 4 Mockup Redux or something similar.

Strata40 should be released within the week on the Mozilla addons site and deviantART.

Here are some previews:

The gray statusbar you see is using the same style as the navbar in the tabs on top version. It is not fully opaque, but has a slight amount of transparency to give the look of frosted glass. I thought it looked a bit cleaner than the standard fully transparent statusbar. The findbar and all other bottom toolbars are also in the same style of course.

The theme is taking longer than we originally anticipated, so we decided to release a beta version.

It's fully functional, but we removed the page and home for now. We will re-add them once we work out the bugs. We also included an alternative background for tabs and bookmarks bar. To enable add the following to stylish:

#bookmarksBarContent{
			 -moz-border-image: url("chrome://global/skin/images/extras/Bookmarks-BG.png") 0 8 0 8 / 0 8px 0 8px !important;
			 margin-left: -3px !important;
			 margin-right: -3px !important;
			 margin-bottom: -3px !important;
			 margin-top: -4px !important;}
			 .tabs-container {
			 -moz-border-image: url("chrome://global/skin/images/extras/Tab-BG.png") 1 8 0 8 / 0 8px 0 8px !important;}

It is recommended you have the following addons:

  • Personal Menu
  • All Glass
  • Fission
  • Omnibar

Please report any bugs you find.

    • The problem of course is simply that government does not always know best. My point is that agency is taken away from the EU consumer in these cases. I'm sorry, but I do not believe that governments (politicians) are inherently good, and "looking out for me." Primarily they look to themselves and their own personal desires first, foremost, and always. When the EU or the DOJ fines these companies, claiming to "represent the welfare of the consumer," how much of these billion-dollar judgments are handed to the consumers they claim to represent? Not even a dollar, as I've seen. Yet the EUC lawyers who are paid to sit around and dream up these suits make huge commissions on the fines the EUC adjudicates, which is an ironclad fact I hope everyone is aware of. It's also rank corruption, of course, but that's another topic. Last, when the EU inflicts these judgments, or the DOJ, take your pick, the costs are bundled right along in the cost of the goods and services these companies provide the consumers they are "looking out for." If you are someone who believes his government is his savior then you have my condolences. I think Apple is right here, because the whole scheme of consumer choice is that consumers pick and choose among the products companies offer. Microsoft Windows is more compatible with third party software and hardware than any desktop OS on Earth, which is my sole reason for choosing it. Just because the EUC forces companies do certain things it knows the companies do not want to do, "or else", has no bearing on consumer benefit. This Siri thing is almost idiotic it's so infantile. But this is what the EUC does when the EU in Brussels becomes cash-strapped and needs a big infusion of cash. Some people get upset by "big companies" but it's the opposite when governments dwarf the size and scope of these companies, which is so obvious it hurts.... I mean you can't honestly believe that forcing Apple to do things with Siri it has its own reasons to decline is something that "opens up" Apple, do you? Say it aint' so...
    • Looks like many years since the request was made, a directory tree view finally may be added. https://github.com/files-community/Files/pull/18537
    • There's this from last year https://gist.github.com/threat...364659a8887841aa43deca4efd9 but nothing about a buffer overflow that MS somehow can't code against. No matter what, it makes sense to take a "protected by default" approach.
