Thanks to JonnyV for the heads up. From my knowledge this is the first time we've had confirmation that Alpert and The Others were responsible for the death of Juliet's ex-husband.

Nestor Carbonell on the challenge of playing such a mysterious character: "My first episode was as a recruiter to get Juliet to come to the island. I ended up killing her ex-husband who was stopping her from leaving [for] the island... When I read the material I thought it'd be interesting if I didn't play him - I've got to convince her, so I can't tip her off that I've got some other surreptitious ideas, I've got to be genuine and honest and kind and probably have a good reason for doing this, for killing her ex-husband. So that was always my mantra was just don't play the villain, play him as a human being and to this day I don't really know if he's good or bad or evil or how much of him is good or how much of him is [evil]. Just when I've figured out the character, I open up another script and I say, 'Oh my God, now I'm completely thrown!'"

I can see Alpert having a larger role in the next season. It will be good to see some of his mysteries (like his age) unraveled at least!

Also I found this question that they asked Jorge to be funny/interesting (from the site Rappy linked to):

Jorge Garcia on wrapping his head around some of "Lost's" more challenging aspects: "I did actually get some books and study a little bit on what these time travel theories are that they're basing everything on just to kind of better understand it myself. Because I knew, when I saw this was the subject matter that was going to be showing up that it'd be good to kind of know a little bit more about it."
I am worried it will be poor but I am 90% sure that won't happen...that darn 10% tho :p

Pretty much same as me, though I do believe they'll not make it an standard sci-fi ending. I hope to god that it's a good ending, 5 going on 6 years of my life, I deserve a good ending

Anyone taking a guess about season 6?

I'll take a stab at it:

We find ourselves back in 2004, with Oceanic 815 crashing (quite possibly for it's third time-loop, or more - revealed later in the season). This time, however, we find Frank as the pilot (as he was supposed to be) and probably Daniel as a passenger - they both survive.

Those who left the island (with the possible exception of Desmond) and those who were time-skipping in season 5 will have no recollection of those events, but those who came in contact with the time-skippers in pre-crash time periods will (we've already seen this with Charlotte "remembering" Daniel). Having read Daniel's journal, Eloise knows to have Daniel take flight 815.

Because of the above, different decisions are made, altering the events that we know of as of seasons 1-3 (I suppose season 4, and maybe 5, too). Season 6 will be about making the decisions that ensure a "happy ending". The "happy ending", we will find out, is Jacob winning the "game" - seasons 1-5 was about Esau winning - thus explaining the change in colors of the Lost logo at the end of the season 5 finale. The series's title is a play on words - it refers to an end-of-game status.

I'm expecting to see quite a few nosebleeds in season 6.

Yeah, the theory has a few holes, but that's my guess.

Nice sig/avatar btw mck.

Thanks :) Lost!

Nice, I like reading theories, I'm around 80% the first part of what you said will happen. :p

Is it me or does it seem like Locke is the only one facing backwards?

    • Payday TWO!! Is 13 years old man I feel old - I remember trying it out and if I did not know I would say 5-6 years ago or something
    • Payday 2 engine upgrade adds 64-bit and DX11 support, drastically shrinks install size by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Payday 2, the most popular entry in the heisting game franchise, is getting a surprising update after all these years. This is slated to be a complete engine upgrade that will enhance almost every aspect of the 13-year-old title, targeting performance, loading times, file size, rendering backend, and more. Developer Sidetrack Games is planning a beta to test out the new version ahead of the full public launch. The development team today revealed that the long-awaited upgrade to the 64-bit architecture is happening with this Diesel 3.0 engine update. By letting the game use more ram than 4GB, it is said to improve stability and compatibility on most hardware. It should also help modders in the long term with implementing larger changes too. "While many of the changes are made on the backend and not everything will be visible to you guys because it is a massive rewrite of the entire codebase, there will be a lot of things that you can look forward to," Sidetrack explained. Payday 2 will also hop over from DirectX 9 to 11. Instead of visual improvements, this is slated to reduce the amount of VRAM used by the title, letting more lower-end hardware access the title and run it better. Since these changes would require a complete redownload of the game anyway, Sidetrack says it has revamped "the game's packaging and bundling system." This should reduce the installation size from 86GB to 32GB. "So, now it's time to finally move the game to your SSDs," added the studio. The Payday 2 Diesel Engine 3.0 update is entering open beta on June 30 for Steam users. No console release plans were announced today. Sidetrack Games says it has been working on this complete rewrite of the codebase for the last nine months. While these changes should break most mods, the studio encouraged modders to use the beta period to repair their creations with support from the development team.
