It's the highly anticipated, final (sob!) season of one of the best shows ever on television.

And yet, a certain former star apparently does not want to take part.

Bananas, right?!

Sources close to ABC's Lost tell me that although most of the original cast?holler!?will be seen in some capacity for the show's upcoming season, one former Lost castmember has turned down an offer to return to the series.

So who is it?

Well, you know we can't name names in such cases, but suffice it to say that this is a person you'd assume would very much want to return to the series.

According to my moles, offers went out to the original castmembers several weeks ago, and this particular Lost star decided to decline. While some of the other returning Losties have already filmed scenes, this Lost holdout has not been on the set or filmed anything for the series, according to insiders.

Want one more hint? OK, twist my arm?

I can tell you that it's not the hot Damonic bloodsucker also known as Ian Somerhalder, whom we caught up with recently while he was in Hawaii filming for Lost. "Maybe, just maybe we'll get to see a more-relaxed Boone," he teased to us. "Maybe we'll get to see a Boone who's just happy."

Perrineau 'not asked back to Lost'

Harold Perrineau has revealed that he has not been asked to reprise his role on Lost.

However, speaking to E! Online, the 46-year-old actor, who played Michael Dawson on the ABC cult series, said that he would love to go back.

"Honestly, no-one has asked," he said. "But if I was asked to come back to Lost, indeed I would say yes. We all started that journey together, and I would love to be able to end it with everybody.

"It would be a great thing to do, to get to say goodbye to them all at the same time. I would love to go back and hang out a little bit."

Perrineau also dismissed rumours that he fell out with the producers after he was written out.

"Those people are my family. And not like my twisted, dysfunctional family, but people I totally love, you know what I mean? It was a great show for me and I'm really glad to be part of that."

He added: "There are no hard feelings. Period. That's the real truth."

Casting News

It looks like Maggie Grace is headed to Oahu in November to shoot top-secret Lost scenes as Shannon Rutherford, who was buried on the island back in ?05. Producers had invited Maggie back earlier, but the busy actress had to wait for shooting to conclude on a string of three film projects, including the role she just wrapped as Cameron Diaz?s kid sister in ?Knight & Day,? also starring Tom Cruise. I?m hearing Shannon may be cut into an episode shot earlier this fall with brother Boone, played by Ian Somerhalder

It's not Shannon then!

*slaps Rappy* Spoiler tags. :p

I don't know why said person would leave, its not like they have any other things they should be doing....

she's dead :p its not like I said smokey was going to go to LA in 2012 and wipe out the world

There is almost nothing I?m looking forward to more, in the realm of movies, television or books, than the final season of Lost. For those of you hoping that we?d have a seamless run for the final chapter of the sci-fi television series, I have some bad news for you. The bad news takes the form of the Winter Olympic games, which will cut into the sixth season.

While no official broadcast dates have yet been announced, and the games are being broadcast on NBC (not ABC), series showrunner Cartlon Cuse has revealed to IGN that ABC will take a time out during the Winter Olympics after the first few episodes, which are tentatively scheduled to begin in January. Lost will take a break and resume the season in early March.

    • Payday TWO!! Is 13 years old man I feel old - I remember trying it out and if I did not know I would say 5-6 years ago or something
    • Payday 2 engine upgrade adds 64-bit and DX11 support, drastically shrinks install size by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Payday 2, the most popular entry in the heisting game franchise, is getting a surprising update after all these years. This is slated to be a complete engine upgrade that will enhance almost every aspect of the 13-year-old title, targeting performance, loading times, file size, rendering backend, and more. Developer Sidetrack Games is planning a beta to test out the new version ahead of the full public launch. The development team today revealed that the long-awaited upgrade to the 64-bit architecture is happening with this Diesel 3.0 engine update. By letting the game use more ram than 4GB, it is said to improve stability and compatibility on most hardware. It should also help modders in the long term with implementing larger changes too. "While many of the changes are made on the backend and not everything will be visible to you guys because it is a massive rewrite of the entire codebase, there will be a lot of things that you can look forward to," Sidetrack explained. Payday 2 will also hop over from DirectX 9 to 11. Instead of visual improvements, this is slated to reduce the amount of VRAM used by the title, letting more lower-end hardware access the title and run it better. Since these changes would require a complete redownload of the game anyway, Sidetrack says it has revamped "the game's packaging and bundling system." This should reduce the installation size from 86GB to 32GB. "So, now it's time to finally move the game to your SSDs," added the studio. The Payday 2 Diesel Engine 3.0 update is entering open beta on June 30 for Steam users. No console release plans were announced today. Sidetrack Games says it has been working on this complete rewrite of the codebase for the last nine months. While these changes should break most mods, the studio encouraged modders to use the beta period to repair their creations with support from the development team.
