Halo Legends first trailer is out

Recommended Posts

Well the official movie is in Spielberg's hands does that make you feel any better?

Last thing I want is MC saying "MC found home", just joking. But since he's familiar with game (I didn't know he was the writer of Medal of Honor series) I am sure he wouldn't s**k.

lol @ MC

But seriously though

Take for example "Batman: Gotham Knight"

I didn't see it as a movie but I saw it as a concept of films that portrayed what the Dark Knight's essence and properties were. The result.. a well portrayed example of who and what Batman is.

As much as I like anime, I'm not convinced that it's a good fit for a Halo story, and that trailer did almost nothing for me. I'm not going to condemn it, and I'm not going to praise it, but I'm certainly curious to see more (i.e. a trailer that doesn't just have a series of random shots).

The only cool part of that trailer was the energy swords.

Personally I find this offering instead of the Saving Private Ryan'esc live action style that we were promised to be insulting.

For one, we weren't ever promised anything. For another, if you've got the money to fund such a venture, I'm sure they'd love for nothing more than to produce it.

What? You mean, "phone home". As in "ET phone home"...

Please tell me you didn't actually think it was "ET found home"

Yeah sorry I didn't saw the movie, but it's true I seriously though it was found not phone.

Here's the first five minutes of Halo Legends to argue about

Lot of japanese think that it's not on the same par is japanese anime. Personally I don't give a crap.

it is an interesting concept ... wondering when/where the action is taking place ... it looks like princess mononoke which is not a bad thing, but halo should have been 3d like Appleseed or macross zero or the intro for halo3

I see it as a moving Halo Graphic Novel. The HGN, while mostly filled with comic styles I didn't like, was something I really enjoyed looking through and felt was an excellent display of the diversity and depth the Halo universe has. Halo Legends should be no different. While not all of them will be amazing, it will be fun and interesting to watch Halo move in so many different animation mediums.

That looked ok. I'm looking forward to the other episodes though. The fact that each episode is done by a different studio, in a different style, is enough to get me interested. I'm looking at this like the Animatrix. Some great episodes, some OK ones.

the eyes may be ridiculous, but the anime vision of the female body is usually quite pleasing. who needs gravity. that's why and if the Second Rennaissance (re: Animatrix) team is indeed behind this, then it's going to be good period.

I love the Animatrix. It should listed as an Anime Classic next to Endless Waltz.

I'm very picky about anime, before I would watch anything and now I have certain expectations.

    • Microsoft admits one of the most crucial Outlook features is currently broken by Sayan Sen Microsoft is making some decent progress when it comes to Windows 11. Recently we have confirmed reports of some rather useful improvements landing in the next version of the OS, 26H2, wherein GPU driver TDR crashes may finally be fixed, plus the company is also allowing users to disable web content on the Search. On the Outlook front though things have not been so rosy. Last month in May we reported several problems affecting basic functionalities on the app. These included a problem where documents would open blank or corrupt themselves. Following that, Quick Steps, a very useful feature, would no longer work correctly, and finally, Microsoft acknowledged a problem wherein images would fail to load up properly inside the email. Microsoft had resolved those bugs later and almost exactly a month after we reported on them, the company has now admitted a new similarly basic issue, this time on Macs. Users recently started noticing that Outlook would no longer display email threads properly as the original message itself was not displayed. An affected user Tsoumpas, C (ngmb) nicely described the problem in a forum post they made on Microsoft's site. They wrote: "Description of the issue: After updating Outlook for Mac [Version 16.110 (26061317)] on 18/6/2026, replying to any email no longer includes the original message in the reply window. Prior to the update, replies correctly contained the original email text below my response. Expected behavior: The original message should be included in the reply, as in previous Outlook versions and according to the configured reply settings. Actual behavior: The reply window contains only a blank composition area (or only my response), with none of the original email text included." Obviously this must be a highly frustrating for users as noted by several in that thread. The post, at the time of writing, has also been upvoted by more than 40 users indicating that is a fairly widespread bug. Thankfully Microsoft seems to have acknowledged the problem right around that time as it opened a new issue on its official website. In the support article, the company recommends switching to Outlook for Mac from the legacy app, where the problem appears to be happening.
