Doli
That was just bad :x I hope the other studios do better than that video.
Green_Eye
since when did MC learn kung fu? You can use knifes in Halo? :o. A spartan is a multimillion if not billion dollar killing machine, you think they would have him learn some form of close quarters combat at the training facility in reach and its really not that absurd for him to have a military knife. Just because something is not in the games e.g knives, it does not mean a different medium cannot use them...

Green_Eye
I didn't know Master Chief could take down a brute using his bare hands. He isn't. The 7 ton spartan suit is. How is that any different from say for example using the plasma pistol in Halo 3 and using the melee which happens to be a punch to take down a brute? I was just aware he was 6ft tall. He doesn't wear MJOLNIR armor does he? Because the UNSC had different Spartan programs as you may be aware of, and each program had cheaper more efficient suits in the next line of spartans
capr
At least we would be getting somewhere close to the movie a friend of mine said district 9 was supposed to be the halo movie but then they changed the plot... but the whole alien guns thing and the look of the "battle rifles" is from halo... I believe he was using Mark 1 MJOLNIR armor in Halo : CE and moved up to the current variation which is Mark 2 if i recall correctly. However I am sure that his suit in Halo 3 weighs around the 7 Tonne mark(source being the story manual from the collectors edition of Halo 3) making it possible for his blows to take down a brute :)

I really fell in love w/ the whole anthology of the Halo series. Even though I played Halo CE I completely forgot why Halo itself existed. I got to read up on it. Yeah I really do love the whole back story :D As for Halo it exists as a weapon against the spread of the flood a counter measure if you will. Although that's a very bare bones explanation... madd-hatter
You guys arguing about a fantasy world, but applying fantasy physics and your own imagination to it, and then correcting each other, is pretty funny.

gigapixels Veteran Posted September 27, 2009 Veteran Share Posted September 27, 2009 :x That was terrible. I don't have a problem with anime, and there are a few series I've liked and followed, but Halo just doesn't work as anime in my opinion.

At least we enjoy what we converse about. I'm sure even you have something like that of your own like Alice in Wonderland. If that's not a fantasy world then idk what is. Although I'm a huge fan.
