Is this game any good on the PC?
Been playing it for a week. It's perfect. Nothing wrong, no problems. IWNet is totally fine. MP works fine and is really fun and addictive. If you're the type of guy who doesn't know/care what dedicated servers are. And you're the type who only plays MP to quickly join a game, and get in the zone by gunning, then get the game. It's similar to CS. Very fun game. I like to so much I've decided to get COD4 as well.
I tried but it still has the whiff of "noob gun" around it from the Call of Duty 4 days plus, I hate burst fire.
How is it the n000b gun? I find it better than SCAR/M4A. More effective in killing. I can't wait to unlock my AK-47. I wonder why don't people use it much?

A few weeks ago I would probably have been very positive towards it but now, not so much. The host advantage is insane and it's a major problem when you combine Keyboard and mouse, because these allow for extreme reaction times and insane accuracy and that is really bummer when the host wins every duel he's in - So I'd say, stay the hell away and get the console versions if possible, at least with a controller the host advantage is negligible.

I guess no one uses M16? I find it the best to be honest. I used to pick a either M4A or SCAR, no that I unlocked M16, I only use that.

I started using it once I unlocked it, and haven't used any other gun since. Sometimes it's not that great for CQC, but, thats why I carry a shotgun or pistol along with it, hehe.

Depends entirely on the host I find, if they are closer to me (UK) the difference is negligible, but if they are in Germany or France I'm going to loose the 1v1. As you said, the mouse lets you zero in on people faster due to the high DPI. I can spin round 180 degrees and have someone's head in my sights in half a second. It'd take me much longer with the sticks.

But when it comes down to it. If you can't aim with the ****ty sticks like my self. Get the PC version or you'll just end up frustrating your self till you quit.

It's a running label from CoD4, no idea how it got it though. I don't use it my self. Vector & ACR for me. High fire rates and accuracy. I'll do the rest. :)

Yeah, I remember hearing some sort of rumor a while back that he liked to play as a 6 year old girl or something, just to screw with other gamers when he killed them. Not sure where I read that at though, but I certainly wouldn't doubt it, given his character. :p

Stupid question...what's the difference between Red Dot sight and the holographic sight?

Holographic is bigger and has a purdy circle. Other than that? Sweet FA.

PC Users! If you're like me and HATE the backround music in MP.

Rename mssmp3.asi to mssmp3.bak.

Job done. :)

From what I have read is there is no real big difference other than looks. :/ So your safe to go with either one.

Correct me if I am wrong though.

Holographic is just a lot more cluttered, it's just to provide some more variation and nothing else - The real-world difference between the two scopes are not portrayed in the game anyway.

I also put in an order for the 360 version - I genuinely want to play the game and I do have this craving but the PC version is useless.

I give you a week at max before you abandon the 360 version because: "It's ****" and join us back on the PC. :)

Talking of the PC version, just noticed this:

IW pretty much crowbarred the console out of the PC version and told the public about it, then it's funny it should show up in the user manual on a mapped key. ( It doesn't work )

Oh...

    • Less powerful than a PS5 at twice the price! I wonder if they use that for marketing? Totally DoA.

    • How does it compare to the "SeeStar S30 Pro" and the "Vespera PRO 2"?
    • Indeed. And note that those units are MUCH cheaper than this new Steam Machine...ahem.
