[Official] Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Hush you, might as well add a tagline: "Community of one." :p

Anyway I'm the only one who's debut'ing all these cool titles & emblems. ;D

I have to thank DL for that link, now I'm on a hunt for all these titles & emblems I like the look of. Been sitting here for 3 hrs attempting to get some of em. :(

Do we know what unlocks them yet? Or is it random?

None are random though they do appear to be sometimes. For example I got "My lil Pwny" from 10 silenced kills after prestige. :s

Larry linked a site a page back which has a lot of them listed and how to obtain them. Some are nigh impossible though. For example group hug. Sticky someone then get him to blow up 2 team mates. :/

Tsk, I have quite a few of those - It's just not interesting to show off, they are massively boring. :shiftyninja:

Lies and you know it!

been playing this game online for the PS3 and have to say that the host migration tool sux it fails alot and boots me back to the lobby

on XBOX Live it kept saying "Waiting For Party Leader" the other day. Sooo annoying!

Now that I have some of the higher end perks and attachments I have started getting a few kill streaks together.

Def have to agree with sethos that this game has almost no semblance of balance. Especially if you start out as a newbie with the default weapons. Although they have made it alot more frantic and arguably more action orientated, CoD 4 seems like a friggin simulator in comparison.

I'm not sure I agree it is imbalanced. You yourself mentioned the default classes - they have perks which aren't available until much later in the game + care packages are easy to get and you get a good chance of a decent reward. Easily enough to give a newbie a good chance ot totally owning a portion of each game.

Warning. Warning

New Gamplay glitch.

Javelin + Semtex = Explosion on death glitch...

So apparently, if you have a Semtex and Javelin in your equipment.. and you equip the Semtex and hold the throw button, then switch to the Javelin and then release the Grenade throw button... you cannot shoot, you can knife, but when you die, a Javelin shot blows up right where you die, taking out nearby enemies.

OMG. Just unlocked Rangers (akimbo)... WOW, thats all i used for an entire match of Terminal... 38kills and 13 deaths... Love em with marathon and lightweight :p

The 1800's is where it's at. :p

The cocking animation is lush. :D

Akimbo shotguns shouldn't be allowed. Way too powerful. If someone has scavenger as well everyone else is in trouble.

Re: The Javelin + Semtex glitch

It would only be useful in free for all.

Akimbo options shouldnt be allowed in this game at all

Might as well get teletubbies for characters and friggin lasers for weapons since we're moving towards this unrealistic environment :s

But obviously IW made it an option for pretty much everything to lure in the tacticool kids - they succeeded

Well, that lame ass launcher + semtex glitch is really catching on

It is?

I was going to start playing some more MW2 after a good break, but I think the last thing I need is to join it again whilst rampant glitching is going on

It's not exactly rampant but I've seen a handful of players do it today and while it may not be many, it's really disruptive.

Auch I'll give it a go anyway.

You just tend to find with things as competitive as MW2 if people start finding out there's ways to gain advantages they'll all be on Google/YouTube looking up a "how to".

    • Yeah... The root of my comment, ostensibly, is how to spin the story via the actual technical merits of the solution! * Decentralized (aka federated) solution with built-in encrypted ephemeral message transport, * Transport via Relays (intermediary servers) with no message archival, * Second configurable pathway are actual email servers (if DNS records are programmed accordingly) via IMAP protocols carriage, * "Chat-over-Email" is the design pattern adopted; it can either leverage full-blown Email Server (must use the INBOX folder) to exchange all received messages/edits/reactions (so be weary of notifications overloads) [best practice is creating a separate email acct used explicitly for federated chat purposes!] or leverage its built-in Relay Server mechanism which actually resides on-device (by default but can be configured otherwise), * By virtue of be a decentralized/federated model, all other intermediary servers who may pass-along messages (while the recipient's final relay/device is inaccessible) cannot snoop on the messages due to the encrypted nature of contents. The intermediaries may, however, analyze the metadata due to the simple fact that routing mechanisms require hints for relay destinations. Unfortunately, whomever is posting about DeltaChat across socials are misleading with "zero metadata" claims -- especially when the Relays (according to their own technical documents) mandate the addition of chat-version metadata and other decorations in order to actually transport any message. -- Based on this summary, I'd prefer if they'd better dual-path message transport (email server add-in, federated relay engine) rather than patch-on email protocols to existing federated social media frameworks. They're frankensteining something rather than extending widely-deployed technology stacks.
    • Decentralized search result anonymization...
    • Russia invaded Crimea, so not sure what you are getting at. Are you saying that the E.U is like what the USSR was? What is wrong with wanting control over your own country? i bet Trump would not stand by and allow Canada to control the U.S.
