For everyone that thinks the game is unbalanced or unfair just play Hardcore Team Deathmatch. Any weapon will kill you, if I am out flanked I die. No kill cam etc..... That is all I play, I can not stand the kill cam or shooting someone in the back and have them turn around and kill me. It is the only way to go. Oh and always equip cold blooded, then 90% of the care packages are useless.

Although I play Search & Destroy myself, I like to know the guy I killed stays dead for the duration of the round.

Pointless game mode. It's a case of lowest ping wins. I can fire 4 bullets all should score a hit, then have them shoot me once and I'll go down?

**** that.

Funny, I was downloading all day and getting terrible pings yet I was doing pretty good - In Hardcore, most people aren't rushing around like 5 year old kids pumped with sugar, so every kill is based on who picked the right route and who out-flanked the enemy NOT host advantage and what else is present in crap-core ( See, that's my new name for it :p ).

EDIT: Do have to mention I'm talking about the 360 version here, as the controller doesn't really allow for fast snap-on action and everything seems to balance itself out - So glad I left the lame PC version and bought the 360 version, I'm finally enjoying the game!

Yeah good for you, the PC version is diffrent since you can react to people shooting at you. ;)

I dont agree, multiple times i shoot someone in the face with a well aimed burst of a weapon only for them to spray me to death?

Getting bored of this game, its not about tactics its about who can rush the fastest with grenade launcher/akimbo 1887s. Soon as people spawn they just mash the sprint key and die, sprint and die. Had a pretty crap time of it on the PC 5 "could not connect to hosts" in a row, then i manage to connect and it picks the laggiest person just to balance the game out for him only to have some tw*tfaced aimbotter ruin the game.

IWNET is the biggest abomination to PC gaming since Daikatana.

Had another pretty crazy session tonight on ground war and ended up at 55 and 10. I got lucky with a chopper gunner gone crazy!

I had some good runs last night too, akimbo rangers mad on favela, 53 kills to 18 deaths, 3 attack helicopters in a row helped alot :D

*sigh*

You're so easy to wind up it can't be helped. :p

It's hit and miss. If you get a good host they'll be dead. If you get a bad one you can unload a clip in their face then have them whip round and blow your head off. If you watch the kill cam you'll see on their system you got 2 shots out before dying!

P2P gaming! IT'S THE FUTURE!

Irony of your sarcasm is it actually is :p

And it's not P2P ;P GET IT RIGHT SON!!1!

I do not play this like Quake Team Arena. I sneek and peek and use tactics. Each map has a method of play. Tactics will win hands down every time in this mode. All the kiddies running around with the double shotguns can not do much when I sneek behind them and blast them. They are very predictable. Lag will always be an issue no matter what and will admit I have been lagged killed many times. If I feel that is happening I find a new server, it doesn't take long to settle down in a good server with good players and have fun. (XBOX 360)

*sigh*

I actually think games like MW2 and such like actually transition quite well onto consoles. Sure its not gonna have the high sensitivity you get with a mouse, but its very VERY playable. I think I could do just as well on my PS3 version then the PC version.

And I completely agree, I'd even say the console is the optimal platform to play these game on. The reaction times and all that shabang is so completely unreal on the PC, it's not even funny - You can never have a firefight, you can never do any risky manoeuvres nor can you make a single mistake without being shot in 0.1 of a second. At least on the consoles, you have a reaction time that mimics heavily armoured human soldiers and you can't just lock on a guy 5 miles off into the distance and take his head off with a .44 Magnum shot. Again, the slight inaccuracy of the controller mimics that so much better as well.

And for the PC elitist reading, no it does not feel cumbersome or 'limited' to use a controller, it does whatever you want and with some practice you can get really good with it.

So basically, on the 360 ( Consoles, in general ) everything feels so much more alive (Y)

I was a PC elitist primarily for graphics. COD MW2 has changed that and I suspect many more will follow. COD MW2 is the same graphically on all platforms and I get to play it on my 46" HDTV with my 360. I have gradually moved to consoles over PC (Except Team Fortress 2) so much so I am considering an iMac for my next computer.

Yeah not sure about it being the same, on my PC I am running it at 1920 x 1080, I wish I could run it at that res on my 50" HDTV, it would then go from looking really damn good to outstanding. So yeah it really depends on what you mean by the same. Plus Aliasing is also higher on the computer if I recall correctly (I mean I know it usually is, just forget if MW2 lets you change it)

If you mean it more or less looks the same, sure no argument from there, but from a technical standpoint, PC still wins. With that said I have been converted years ago. I sit in front of my computer all day, and I actually get to work from home a lot, so I just do not want to also sit in front of my computer at night to game. So something very relaxing and nice about being able to play on my couch.

Yeah, the PC version has so much clearer textures overall and everything is just a wee bit sharper but that shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, it definitely isn't a game-breaker by any means but that still doesn't make up for all the other areas where the PC version falls short, very short.

You're being sarcastic right? :|

They have completely FUBAR'ed this game on PC. Anyone who thinks this game is a good direction for PC gaming is an idiot or not a PC gamer. Those who support this game on PC are just asking for a day when all the benefits of PC's are taken away and once that happens, PC gaming becomes a thing of the past. So for all of you who understood that before you bought the game but you bought it anyway.. a big FU for jeopardizing my love of PC gaming.

This is my point as well. I was once a diehard PC fanatic but the writing is on the wall. It is far more cost effective for developers to keep the game as similar as possible across all platforms. So much so that the three versions of MW2 are very near identical. Because of this, I would rather play on the big screen hanging on my couch. The advantages that the PC once had are quickly going away but this is off topic. I still love this game and for a console game it is great.
