There is?

How the **** does stuff like that pass through Q&A?

What a POS developed game in that respect, absolutely no other game would get a free pass in reviews for such game breaking flaws.

Like I said earlier, there isn't an excuse for it because IW fixed the same glitch in CoD4 just a few months ago.

So wait, I honestly have not paid a lot of attention to this whole glitching **** as I am not that into the game, but this infinite ammo one is affecting the 360 version as well? Or is it just PC?

I just assumed it was PC, but if it is 360, how the hell did these tossers make it through the ban wave?

360 as well, I encountered a few games tonight.

Its only infinite ammo for granade launcher isn't it?

Just had an amazing none glitch game though, 29-3, i threw a grenade into a HQ, got the chain reaction challenge, the claymore challenge and a few more, 5 kills with 1 grenade that set off a claymore >.<

Really. I knew AJ was talking about glitches, and a few on the 360, but did not realize it was this one as well.

So it is people with modded consoles doing it, or is it somehow a glitch that you can execute without a modded console? I was under the impression one needed a modded console no?

Nope it's just exploits in relation to the game.

A modded console just lets you run copied discs, still doesn't let you run unsigned code or anything like that.

Okay I got confused, I did not think it mattered but thought I read a few pages back one needed a modded console, I thought perhaps they were doing something to the files before they burned the disk.

So okay then yeah that is pretty damn messed up. The fact they are not trying to fix it ASAP says to me they have no clue how it is being done yet, as I would think something like this would be something one issues a quick patch for just to fix it. I know patches are a lot more complex than that, patch one thing and potentially break 1000 other things, so what that says to me is what you said before, **** poor QA on their end.

EDIT - Okay, I take back most everything I said above. I just watched some of these glitching videos, and honestly I have no idea how these people have the free time to even figure the crazy stuff out that they do, and I can totally see how IW could not anticipate nor be able to respond quickly to what is being done, as it is so convoluted it is unbelievable.

Great comment posted on Kotaku in regards to the ammo issue.

Developping good games is effing hard.

Developping good MP games is ridiculously hard. (And expensive)

Developping a completely hack proof system is impossible.

If a hacker has access to the game files, then he can do whatever he wants with the game. No matter what you do as a developper, you need base game files, you need a place where you say: this is what happens when you reload/fire/jump.

If someone has access to that, and the knowledge to comprehend it, then he can do whatever he wants. It might be hard, it might be long, but if he is patient enough, he will be able to do it.

Now, ensuring that hackers can't access Xbox live is Microsoft's job. They are apparently not doing it properly.

IW are (probably) using the X360's cache, which is guaranteed by Microsoft to be safe, to speed up the loading or sharing of the game settings, so that your MP experience is as seamless as possible.

So Larry to clear things up, this exploit was originally spread by modders. One a non modded user accidentally joins a modded match, that user has infinite ammo in their cache. If you experience the infinite ammo problem, just clear your system's cache and you will be fine.

Edit: Larry in response to your edit I laughed because that is what I have been telling people for years! Whatever I guess. :p

I could understand if you could keep all your weapons etc, but too loose them all seems odd.

I assume Prestige 10 would mean you'd get to level 70, 10 times. Then, after all that time, there'd be potentially nothing to seperate you from someone earlier on in the game who'd unlocked the same/similar guns & perks?

What if you choose not to? do you just stay as you are and no longer level up?

I'm only level 43 by the way, just wondering...

Yes, you just stay at 70 and gain no more XP.

Prestige isn't supposed to be something marvellous, it's just more showing off; how many times you've hit 70 plus it also helps to keep people playing, not being able to progress any further and any XP is out the window will stagnate the experience a bit - I remember back when I was playing Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, after I hit the Elite rank I kinda stopped playing ( More ranks were introduced later but was a bit too late for me ).

Also, when you are at max rank you tend to constantly use the same weapons as they've grown on you - Hitting prestige mode kinda forces you to try something new again, which is a fresh experience.

I loved going prestige mode in Call of Duty 4 - Might not do it in this game however, I'm progressing so slowly because I can't stand playing more than an hour or two at the time.

I thought as much, but how would I know if someone I was playing against was a level 10, prestige 5 level 10, or prestige 10 level 10?

There are different badges for each level of prestige. Have a google, there are websites which explain the badges.

i really wana play on one of these unlimted ammo servers lol, they sound kinda fun, is it a common occurance at the mo? im guessin it will be patched fairly soon

On the Xbox, if someone who has cached the bug (Played with it before) is in your game, you'll enter a game with it enabled, and it'll happen always until you dc from live and turn off your console (360).

Let me preface this by saying I dont know how true this is, but here's some sort of explanation on the infinite ammo "glitch/hack" from IW's forums on what and how it happened.

Anyone who knows more about this (and i don't know much), feel free to correct me. I'm just posting what I found.

    • Zen Browser 1.21.4b by Razvan Serea Zen Browser is a privacy-focused, open-source web browser built on Mozilla Firefox, offering users a secure and customizable browsing experience. It emphasizes privacy by blocking trackers, ads, and ensuring your data isn't collected. With Zen Mods, users can enhance their browser experience with various customization options, including features like split views and vertical tabs. The browser is designed for efficiency, providing fast browsing speeds and a lightweight interface. Zen Browser prioritizes user control over the browsing experience, offering a minimal yet powerful alternative to traditional web browsers while keeping your online activity private. Zen Browser’s DRM limitation Zen Browser currently lacks support for DRM-protected content, meaning streaming services like Netflix and HBO Max are inaccessible. This is due to the absence of a Widevine license, which requires significant costs and is financially unfeasible for the developer. Additionally, applying for this license would require Zen to be part of a larger company, similar to Mozilla or Brave. Therefore, DRM-protected media won't be supported in Zen Browser for the foreseeable future. Zen Browser offers features that improve user experience, privacy, and customization: Privacy-Focused: Blocks trackers and minimizes data collection. Automatic Updates: Keeps the browser updated with security patches. Zen Mods: Customizable themes and layouts. Workspaces: Organize tabs into different workspaces. Compact Mode: Maximizes screen space by minimizing UI elements. Zen Glance: Quick website previews. Split Views: View multiple tabs in the same window. Sidebar: Access bookmarks and tools quickly. • I was using searxng for about a year , self hosted, but results were starting to timeout and eventually it became unusable so I switched to degoog. Much better for my needs, more polished and add-ons like maps and calculations etc

    • Hello, I am not as familiar with AMD CPUs as I am with Intel's, but as I understand it, that's a mid-range CPU from about three years ago.  I would think it to be fine for everyday casual-type use.  A larger SSD might be better, but with storage prices these days that's a decision that has to be carefully thought about.
