The Walking Dead (Season 2)

I recorded the first episode, started watching the first few minutes and let me tell you, it looked more like a movie than a TV series to me, really really good, shame DirecTV doesn't carry AMC HD, so I have to watch it on SD which sucks.

Rick clearly hadn't seen enough zombie movies.

He broke probably all the rules on how to survive a zombie apocalypse not to mention hes a bit of a retard.

First he gets shot because the idiot turns his back to the criminals they just shot without checking if the scene is clear. (someone didn't pay attention in cop school) :pinch:

Then he wakes up in the hospital and thinks about searching for matches but then he burns hims self 5 times because he wants to use them to make light, eh its a hospital theres bound to be a couple of flash light laying a round. Or better yet make a torch! then he comes outside and theres a whole bunch of vehicles just sitting there unattended but he thinks hey lets walk a couple of miles with my bullet wound.

Then he gets smacked in the face with a shovel by an 9 year old. :o

Then he finally does the smart thing and goes to the office to get some supplies.

Finds a house and the first thing he does is ditching all his stuff on the porch, its not like there could be anyone there ready to eat him :pinch:

Finds a horse which basically means unlimited transportation given you take good care of it. Hey he uses his brains!! :D

Then he decides to go to the big city surely there won't be any zombies there its not like a couple of millions folks used to live there.

Rides his horse right into a couple of thousand zombies to get mauled

Then he tries to hide under the tank :pinch: Surely those zombies can get under there if he can

Manages to get in the tank, shoots a gun in there (ok i would have done the same thing but still...)

Then gets owned by a 16 year old on the radio.

LOL you are so right....but i still like the EP :)

I think this show has great potential, and i can't wait for the next episode.

I just think everybody needs to take a mandatory "How to survive a zombie apocalypse course" that way people don't get mauled after 5 seconds

amazing! its like my dream has come true for a zombie tv show and the budget looks big!

AMC's The Walking Dead premiere ratings are enormous: The 90-minute Halloween night premiere delivered 5.3 million viewers.

That's the largest audience for any cable series premiere on any network this year.

It's also the highest premiere numbers for any series in AMC's history.

I watched the premiere last night, and I have to say it was awesome. AMC definitely didn't hold back with the imagery or violence. The acting was great, and the atmosphere is perfect. I love how they're using "old school" zombies too. They're not the crazy marathon sprinters from the 28 days later movies, but they're not so slow and shambling that they're not a threat. They're kind of in between, and I love it.

The only thing that sucks is that I was skimming through this thread and saw some images that kind of gave away some twists from future episodes. That sucked. Please don't post images that would be considered spoilers by most. Videos are fine since you have to click on them to see anything, but the images appear automatically.

Usually I am not a die-hard fan of zombie movies, although I do find some of them pretty good -- 28 Days (& Weeks) Later, Zombieland, Dawn Of The Dead, among others. "The Walking Dead" premiere was awesome. At times was very emotional, I wasn't expecting that.

Just watched it just a few minutes ago. Was pretty good, kinda made me feel that I was watching an adaption of Left 4 Dead which to me is a good thing. The show felt nicely paced and wasn't rushed. Looking forward for the next episode. One thing I noticed was that at the end

it didn't look like any of the zombies were eating up the horsey, just chewing the air. Maybe something they might want to look at.

Edit: Off to play some Left4Dead 2 and feel like an immortal lucky son of a bitch.

:p

woot.

It's official: "The Walking Dead" is a hit.

Judging by the buzz today, last night's premiere of "The Walking Dead" on AMC went over well with just about everyone who tuned in for the live-action adaptation of Robert Kirkman's award-winning comic book series. And now the numbers seem to support that success, too.

My brother said it was good so I had to check it out. It was pretty good. I expected the production quality to be high and boy, was it high. It reminded me of 28 Days Later and Right at Your Door.

    • While I agree with all that, it just proves there's an a** built for every seat.
    • Lol are you mad because I'm not using AI? I'd rather pay people than lose a bunch of potential customers and get humilated because I used AI. A lot of people won't purchase a game if it used AI during development.

    • hahahahah wow hahahah you sure got me there hahahahahah, you know that bad performance is always due to poor optimization by the developers, right???
    • "I know for a fact I'll never own one of these." This is why choice is better than government regulation. Globaly Android has something like 72% of the smartphone market. Granted the vast majority of that is low end phones. Apple can and should charge whatever they want. The market will decide if it is too much.
