The Walking Dead (Season 2)

This show started with some promise, but it's getting pretty silly. Having said that it's a cut above all the other melodrama that tv pumps out, though that's not saying much.

What do you mean? I preferred the first two episodes, and how it was more solitary and a man trying to find his family than the last two, but I don't know that I'd call them silly.

I didn't think the pace of EP4 was as attention-grabbing as the rest. I didn't like the long patches of character drama. I know you have to build characters up for us to care about them, but it seemed a little drawn out.

The banditos was a nice twist, and I wonder if they will come to the rescue again along the way. The hospital looked like a fairly secure safe zone. Although it won't be when they run low on ammo.

I'd like to know how widespread the zombies are also, but seeing as they made it to the campsite once or twice, they could be anywhere.

As long as they keep the stereotypes low, and the action high, I'm liking this.

The Spanish Gang thing caused me to roll my eyes at first. It was just kind of cliche, I don't know. The "twist" at the end was good because it continues on with the theme of "Doing what is needed just to survive".

The lack of emphasis on Rick/Shane is bumming me out.

I preferred the first two episodes as well. I just feel the show has gone down hill since. The whole Latin gang thing was just dumb.

It's also separated quite a lot from the comic. And I don't really see the point in that.

That's what I'm asking, though -- why is that dumb? It seems like a probable outcome of the situation, I think. I'm surprised no other zombie movie has depicted something like that. Gangs generally rely on each other, and you'd think something as catastrophic as a zombie outbreak would cause that reliance to increase.

You got the whole point, in a post apocalyptic world, gangs would be rampant, I think this series will have many seasons, I can't wait.
