I've added some new features and changed things a bit more. I'll get a new beta out soon which will include these changes. Here's a sneak peak:

Main Interface w/ Aero Glass

New settings

Gadget Mode (new feature)

Also, any comments, thoughts, and feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Just wanted to give an update. A new build has been released including the features seen in the above post. I updated the original topic with a download link but you can get it here (with documentation or here (without documentation).

I hope to get some good feedback on this new version. A lot of improvements have been made :)

i don`t know but it seems that i can`t get it work right and i don`t have a clue why it`s not working as i wanted to .

I made a profile as a category and added a bunch of programs but when i try to get the jumplist it doesn`t appear so i can launch my programs ?

Try adding another profile that isn't a category and seeing if it works. Close/re-open if needed. Most of the time when testing the app I already have a bunch of profiles created. Setting a profile as a category and making sure you save/update the profile should update the jumplist to list that category. Click on the category and access the jumplist again and your apps should be listed there. You also want to update the aliases for each app in a category by clicking the settings link (should be just above the save/update button).

Have you done those things?

WOW. This program is absolutely amazing! Definitely loving this, and will almost definitely use it when Windows 7 comes out! Just a couple of questions though, is it possible to dynamically change the jump list when switching to a directory without the jump list disappearing, or not? If not, would it actually be possible to have multiple instances of this application pinned to the task bar, and have certain instances automatically have specific directories ready and waiting? I mean, I know I'm sounding completely lazy wanting to get rid of a few extra clicks, but well, isn't this program all about time saving features in the first place? :p

True, but the app also has several ways of interacting with it. Jump lists are just a small part of its functionality. Using thumbnail navigation or gadget mode enhance the overall experience. Don't like the extra space a gadget uses? Use the hidden mode option which lets you use a hot key to bring it up and flip through your apps to launch.

PS. At the moment, multiple-instances isn't supported. I'll may add support for this later though.

I'll upload a new build that you can drop in and let me know if it causes the same problems.

Edit: Download this, extract, and replace the existing 7APLauncher.exe file with the one in the zip.

Also if you encounter an error again, please hit the details button, copy the text and paste it here or PM me the error details. It'll help me pinpoint the error.

    • Cooler Master MasterFrame 600 PC case is now 33% off on Amazon by Ivan Jenic The Cooler Master MasterFrame 600 is currently $109.99 on Amazon, down from its original $164.99 list price. That's 33% off and $55 saved on this premium aluminum mid-tower case with a modular design. If you're upgrading your PC case and want something that doesn't force you into a rigid layout, the MasterFrame 600 is worth a look. The case is built around the Cooler Master's FreeForm 2.0 platform, which lets you reconfigure the internal structure according to your hardware. Magnetic side panels allow for straightforward adjustments, and the case supports everything from Mini-ITX to E-ATX motherboards without compromise. There's also generous cooling headroom. Four pre-installed PWM fans handle airflow out of the box. GPU clearance goes up to 410mm, and the case supports radiators up to 420mm with room for three simultaneously. Truth be told, this might not be the prettiest case on the market, but it’s highly functional. The aluminum construction keeps the whole thing lightweight despite its size, and the finish looks noticeably better than the plastic mid-towers competing at this price point. If you want a serious, flexible case that prioritizes function over flashy aesthetics like RGB lighting, the MasterFrame 600 delivers at a reasonable price.
