Lauren Socha will not appear in the fourth series of Misfits.

A Channel 4 spokesperson confirmed to Digital Spy that the 21-year-old actress will not reprise her role as Kelly in the E4 drama.

"A mutual decision was reached between Clerkenwell and Lauren earlier this year that she would not be returning for the fourth series," it was announced in a statement.

"Misfits has been in production for a number of weeks now and Lauren is not part of the lineup."

It was also confirmed that Socha's departure is not related to her recent conviction for racially-aggravated assault.

The spokesperson added: "No. Clerkenwell Films and Lauren Socha agreed some time ago that along with other cast members, including Iwan Rheon and Antonia Thomas, she would not be returning for the fourth series of Misfits, which is currently in production. Channel 4 supports both parties' decisions."

Misfits will return to E4 in late 2012.

I don't know if I'm going to like S4 of Misfits.....I really was starting to like the original cast than they started removing them out (Nathan was very energetic and I enjoyed the character as well as his original power much better than his replacement), but with Simon going back to save Alicia and now Kelly leaving the show too, it's just not going to be the same.....will have to wait and see how it plays out but I'm definitely going to miss the original cast.

I think that it will be a difficult transition for those of us that enjoyed the original cast members, but it could be doable. Not to mention, with new characters come new powers.

Also, I wonder how they're going t continue the story? I mean, the Alisha and Simon story was pretty epic, I wonder how they will up the ante?

Screen Terrier has revealed two of the three new cast members that will be taking the places of Socha, Iwan Rheon (Simon Bellamy) and Antonia Thomas (Alisha Bailey).

First up is Karla Crome (Dog Endz) as Jess, who is the female version of Larry David. She's both smart and articulate and will say what everyone else is thinking but does not have the guts to say. She's going to question the social norms and etiquette.

Second to join this revolving cast is Nathan McMullen (Shameless UK) who will be playing Finn. He has a childlike if at times naive and optimistic view on life. He's always eager to please others and is very enthusiastic about life.

News about who the third member to join the cast is still being kept under wraps. It has been revealed that his name will be Alex, that he will be incredibly good looking and that he will show no interest in girls.

Original cast member Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (Curtis Donovan) and Joe Gilgun (Rudy Wade), who joined in the show's third series, are both set to return.

My god this season sucks... I can't stand it.. that little kid with that annoying mouse voice.... ARRGGHHH.

Seriously, where are the awesome powers? Where is the rest of the old cast and who are these unlovable idiots.

the only thing good about this season is the way rudy pronounces things and his brilliant acting, everyone else looks like a piece of wood.. and don't get me started on the dyslexic story... GOOD LORD, Just end this show... It's Terrible.

    • You are clueless. The updates are done in the background so the next time you open Edge the updates are applied automatically. There is no need to close all your tabs. Just keep browsing like you normally do. Clearly you don't use Edge and are just one of those haters that complain for the sake of complaining.
    • I don't get this David. Can you explain it please.
    • Microsoft is busy. Lots of changes to be released imminently for Windows server or soon. Also, lots happening for next version as well. Third party virus scanning software is being moved out of Kernel mode to avoid repeat of Crowdstrike incident. Windows Protected Mode and Windows Ready Print no longer require third party print drivers to be installed. New storage stack being developed. New NVME drivers now available for Windows Server 2025 to improve local NVME drive performance by 60+ percent. NVME-Of of fabric being worked on for next release to improve network access to NVME drives. ReFs (next file system) now has ability to boot and will become default file system in next release of Windows Server. ReFs improves on NTFS in several areas including resiliency and reliability and scalability. New update stack is being worked on to unify Windows updates, and updates for drivers and first party/3rd party application software. A stricter and more robust third-party driver certification program (ODI) is being worked on to improve performance, thermals, battery life, and reliability on modern Windows hardware by tightening how OEMs and IHVs (Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, etc.) build and ship drivers. There is a tone more but too numerous to mention.
