gamerboy
Is there a way to convert coaxial cable into VGA cable. I want to hook my tv cable into my surround sound speakers in my dorm and the only way we get cable is through a coaxial cable. I know there are VGA to coaxial converters but didn't know if there was anything for the other way around.

O.G
Not sure what you mean. Do you mean the sound from cable tv on your system? Do you mean use the coax as an interconnect?

We have coaxial jack in our room so that is the only way to get cable. I wanted to see if there was a way to convert that coaxial into vga. Looks like i got my answer tho. CentralDogma
You'd need a tuner. Either one for your computer, or one built into the monitor. Just google "TV tuner".
