kizzaaa
Hi Guys, I recently connected an LG W2452V to my iMac (Late 2006) using an original Apple Mini DVI to DVI adapter. The monitor is great however I'm experiencing issues when I put the Mac to sleep. I'm using the latest release of OS X Leopard (10.6.1). When I put the displays to sleep using an active corner both displays will sleep and wake perfectly. The power light on the LG monitor switches to an orange colour when it is put to sleep using this method, and the iMac display white LED will stay on. When I put the Mac to sleep (using the sleep option in the Apple menu) the system sleeps as usual however the LG W2452V will not wake. To turn the monitor back on I have to disconnect and reconnect the monitor from its power socket. I've noticed the power light on the LG monitor stays blue instead of switching to orange. After googling the issue I found that other Mac users have been experiencing the same issue with dual screen displays. Has anyone encountered this issue before? Or does anyone have a solution? :)
DrivenDaily
Yes I have experienced this same problem, although I was using a mini-DisplayPort to DVI adapter with a LG1980Q LCD monitor. I have some belief that this problem may be vary between monitors, because the HANNS-G HW191D has no sleep issues whatsoever. Be lucky you don't have to deal with the crazy mini-DisplayPort to HDMI issues :|
