This falls into the matter of taste category then - personally I prefer the crisp look of a LCD at its native resolution.

The only thing you can try is to adjust the DPI settings to 120 DPI (which I think is the other setting Vista offers). Downside to this: The fonts will be bigger at a higher DPI setting, perhaps too big.

See, when I change the Resolution to 1280 by 768, visually it's fine but everything appears to be quite stretched and blurred. Is there a way to make it so the screen isn't blurred? Such as a margin or a border?

No. You have the choice between native resolution and stretched/blurred display at a lower resolution.

I just compared my older Laptop to this one while it's on the 1280 x 768 Resolution, and they both look exactly the same. I done some experiments such as taking screenshots of websites, cutting out the margins on either side and looking at their attributes (I done this for The Sun website) and they were both the same (131), so I guess my eyes just need time to adjust to this new monitor now! :-) The image couldn't be stretched because otherwise the margin sizes would be different right? I also took single screenshots of both screens, looked at their attributes and they both had a width of 17.81.

Well whilst technically the image is not stretched for the PC output, when you are viewing it, due to the fact you aren't at native that is why it appears differently. You are just forcing the resolution onto the bigger screen.

If you are happy with the way things are then stick with it, personally I would go native and suffer the crispness of websites being seen the way they were intended to be viewed.
