Transformers: Dark of the Moon (Transformers 3)

I really hope Shia and Megan aren't replaced by someone else. I don't care if you guys like them or not. The way I see it, if you're going to replace someone, at least do it gracefully. It's almost like replacing a singer of a band, but worse. You just don't do it (only a few have been able to get away with it). While I hope the dialog improves for the 3rd one, I didn't have issues with the characters some people seem to hate (Wheelie, the Twins, etc). I actually they thought they were funny.

I do think that the problem some people have with the movies is that they're expecting a lot more story (a thinker, if you will) than what the movie shows, but you have to realize that how much there is to the Transformers. The amount of Transformers in the 2nd movie should be proof of that. With that said, I hope that there is a better balance between action and story telling in the 3rd. If anything, I'm actually hoping for less action and more of the story behind the Transformers.

I think for fun they should change directors on the 3rd. I want to see what ether Jamesn Cameron or Rigely Scott can do (Transformers 3 black hawk down style).

James Cameron wouldn't be a bad idea, actually. He knows how to keep the pace going and things in balance. Definitely good at showing how a story should be told.

and in the way of True Lies, have a movie with good action and jokes that are actually FUNNY!.

I'd imagine James could do some creative action scenes. Bay just seems to be all about blowing stuff up, while I love it as much as the next guy, there needs to be some mixing up how action scenes are done to keep me interested. Granted, how much can you do when the Transformers are as big as they are?

A secret video hidden on the Blu-Ray disc of Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen shows Michael Bay discussing his early ideas for the third movie (although he says they're all lies.) You can't get any bigger in the third movie, so instead he'll go "sideways," and possibly go darker and more emotional. He's going even deeper into Transformers lore. And he says there'll be more of Bumblebee in the third movie, and more of the robot characters generally. "It doesn't have to be action, action, action," says Bay. (Really?) [Transformers Live]

It seems that Transformers 3 is set to start rolling in May. So soon! You?d imagine they?d have a finished script and would have made all of their necessary big decisions too, like whether or not to film in 3D? Yeah? maybe not.

The news of the May shoot came from a small aside in a Deadline Hollywood Daily post on Shia LaBeouf changing agents. A little bit of fact checking later and I learned that, yes, that date was right but,, the screenplay hasn?t been finished yet. I?m not sure how unusual this is with tentpole films any more, but it?s a talking point at least. What was that about ?All publicity??

I was curious if the ?Avatar effect? was going to lead to the film being shot in 3D, despite Michael Bay?s earlier protestations aimed at the format. Interestingly, it seems that Bay hasn?t won the argument. Not yet anyway. And with producer Steven Spielberg being so enamoured of Avatar, it seems like Bay might have to concede. That?ll make me happy for one.

I wish he would go in this direction.

I enjoyed TF2 too, yeah the story was cheesy and really didn't need to be there and again the final battle was a let down. It was just a fun movie.

Hopefully the third film will have Unicron in it. I don't really want to go into the lore of Transformers, that is what the cartoons/comics were for. Just give us massive battles and no story please. I don't want an autobot falling in love with a decepticon or bumblebee worried he might be a homosexual.

This film could start filming as soon as May, providing a non-stop stream of ridiculous rumors and set pics. But for now, there's just the fact that James Avery (Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air) did an interview with Unscripted. And a blurb for the interview says Avery said he was playing a new Autobot called Silverbolt in this film ? but there's no video of him saying it yet. So it's just a rumor for now. [TFormers]

They shouldn't set a date for the films release until AFTER THE FILM IS DONE. Other wise all you do is get a rushed production.

I guess they have their reasons. I think one reason is they all have to plan their releases for the best possible financial success. I wouldn't want Transformers to go up against Harry Potter or Star Trek.

An article about one of the companies transforming many upcoming releases into 3-D makes an alarming allusion to another potential 3-D release that's apparently in the talking stages.

Stereo Pictures Korea president Sung Young-seok told Daily Variety that his company is in talks for three additional pictures at Warner and is bidding on a number of 3D films for individual directors, including one for Michael Bay.

Bay's next project is "Transformers 3," and there have been discussions among Bay, Paramount and Industrial Light & Magic about going 3D with the pic. The big stumbling block is the extra time required to do production and visual effects in 3D, as the movie's release date is already set. Having the pic post-converted could alleviate that problem.

...says THIS article in Variety.

Interestingly, this newslet might signify something of a shift for Mister Bay - who has openly pondered whether his style of filmmaking would be 'too much' in 3-D (my paraphrase, not his exact words); he's even called 3-D a "gimmick" and a "fad".

Money, and AVATAR's Best Picture Oscar nomination, changes everything I guess.

Unlike many, I really don't hate Michael Bay movies (except for REVENGE OF THE FALLEN). This said, I don't think I wanna see his movies...given the way he makes 'em...in 3-D. I get nauseated just thinking about how dizzying and disorienting that could be.

Not that we didn?t expect him back for another go around, but Tyrese Gibson has confirmed that he will be reprising his role as Sgt. Epps in Michael Bay?s Transformers 3. In a post on Twitter, he confirmed by saying that ?Yes I will for sure be in Transformers 3.. Get Ready!! Epps is here to STAY!!?. Written by Ehren Kruger, Bay has described the screenplay as ?feeling very different from the other two?, promising that the story will be much more about character, and will feature a lot less robots than Revenge of The Fallen. The film is being prepped for a shoot later this year, with an announced July 1st 2011 release date. Last we heard, Paramount was pushing Bay to shoot the film in 3D. Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox are both expected to return for the threequel, reprising their roles as Sam Witwicky and Mikaela Banes.

And, of course, you may find a word or two about older versions. Windows 11 version 26H2 is now official. Alongside Windows 11's new preview builds released this week, Microsoft confirmed version 26H2, which is coming later this year as an enablement package based on the same platform as versions 24H2 and 25H2. A newly published blog post details what IT admins should do to prepare for the upcoming launch. Next, we have new Windows 11 bugs. Users report that this month's security updates for Windows 11 cause all sorts of issues, including BitLocker bugs, OneDrive issues, black screens of death, and third-party integration in Office apps. Microsoft has not confirmed those yet, but it acknowledged other issues with its operating system. What Microsoft has confirmed is a bug where Recycle Bin delete prompts display internal file names instead of actual ones, and a year-old Windows JScript compatibility bug caused by security-focused engine changes. Moving to more positive news, Microsoft and Adobe are working on improving Windows performance in popular creative apps like Photoshop. Thanks to SPGO optimizations, users can expect up to 20% better performance. Finally, we have a few useful articles that can help you recover your PC or make it perform better. For one, we published a guide detailing what to do if your computer cannot boot after a clean Windows 11 install. There are two important steps you can try to get your system back to working in no time. Additionally, there is a more detailed guide on various CPU performance modes that could notably improve performance. This week, Microsoft announced its newest Surface devices powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon X2 processors. There is the 12th-gen Surface Pro and the 8th-gen Surface Laptop. Both devices feature little to no visual differences compared to their predecessors from 2024, and most changes hide inside, including a better processor, faster graphics, enhanced NPUs, and more. The Surface Laptop also received a new haptic trackpad. Mozilla is currently working on a major Firefox redesign, and earlier this week, it published a roadmap of upcoming features and highlights of the upcoming "Project Nova" rework. Files, one of the best file managers for Windows 10 and 11, has been updated in the Preview channel with a long-requested feature. Tree View is finally available in version 4.1.4, allowing you to quickly browse deeply nested folders without leaving the main view. In addition, the update improved the Windows Fonts folder, allowing you to preview each font without opening the default viewer. Rufus, another useful Windows 11 utility, also received a notable update. Version 4.15 arrived as beta with important fixes for silent Windows 11 installation. Overall, the device proved interesting, but not flawless. On the gaming side Learn about upcoming game releases, Xbox rumors, new hardware, software updates, freebies, deals, discounts, and more. Forza Horizon 6 received two big updates this week. Alongside the Series 2 content update, developers pushed plenty of bug fixes and balancing tweaks. Luckily, only a few days later, another fix arrived, which re-enabled Eliminator and patched the exploit. Microsoft announced new games for Game Pass subscribers.
