Apple needs to learn about how to do updates, I am sick of downloading 250mb+ (iPhone OS image) + 2.5GB+ (iphone sdk update) everytime there is a minor bug fix. Same goes for iTunes, Quicktime etc updates.

This. I am staying on 3.1 till 3.2 comes out.

Freaking 2.5+ gig update to sdk, why cant they just put a patch?

I guess Apple think that every customer have 50 megabit connection. I barely have a 728KB connection which is damn slow for big files.

Nice burn, Tablet.

3.1.2 has been jailbroken. I'm holding out for a redsn0w release or anyone who will release a jailbreak/unlock combo. >:D

Name of jailbreak: blackra1n

Warning:

This is the first jailbreak release from any team/person so be careful and be warned. THIS DOES NOT UNLOCK YOUR iPHONE and will NULLIFY your unlock!

I had a 3.0 iPhone 3GS that i upgraded to 3.1 via iTunes, would that jailbreak work for me? ( i have no need for an unlock as my sim already works with the phone)

You need to upgrade to 3.1.2 to be able to jailbreak. If you don't care about unlocking or any other possible sources of conflict (since this is the first jailbreak release for windows in a long time), then be careful and update.

You are responsible for whatever happens to your iPhone.

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
    • CPPC states can also be messed around with in most UEFI settings but aren't as robust as the ones that the Windows Scheduler can provide! Make sure you look into what your motherboard also has before customizing for the Windows Scheduler.
