Nintendo admits it has no more good game

Sorry couldn't find better translation.

That is a pretty crappy translation, Nintendo's position is still secure the have the two most popular (overall) consoles of this generation, this means big userbase. They can still make good games, they have good brands to use like Pokemon and Mario which are still very popular.

Again 3rd party completely fails on a Nintendo platform, however Nintendo handed themselves that coffin this generation by creating hardware so out of line with the PS3/360 3rd party devs can't just port, they need to put resources into a unique Wii title every time.

In other words, Dead Space 360/PS3? Becomes an on rails shooter for the Wii nothing like it's bigger brother, because of this comes out later, then absolutely tanks in sales (it was fairly well critically received). COD? Wii gets lame ass 'Reflex' by Treyarch instead of MW2 by IW, etc. FIFA/PES blow on the Wii as well. Online gaming? LOL.

Nintendo are probably slightly worried the big hitting 3rd parties are already moving onto working with the PS3 Wand/Natal for their motion needs, as most of their attempts on the Wii so far have tanked.

The Wii audience tends to buy Nintendo titles, and ****ty Nintendo title rip offs, and that's it. It's a graveyard calling to try anything different/unique as a 3rd party. Not helped by the fact that what hardcore do still play their Wii most likely pirate the hell out of it as it's hacked to the high heavens.

Yes, because having an overly expensive super powered Wii would have TOTALLY saved Nintendo.

>_>

It would have tanked super quickly because it would have been just like the 360 except without as many features, they'd have ported titles and nobody would have bought them, because the 360 version has live and the such. It would have also sent Nintendo's bottom line to the pits of hell.

Uhh you don't need an expensive super powered Wii to allow devs to port more successfully. You just need something that's a little more in-line with the hardware in the PS3/360. An overclocked gamecube is nowhere near enough.

If it was at least HD things would've been easier.

And hey I'm only echoing what devs have said on 1UP Yours/Listen Up over the past year(s), it costs them more money and the risk factor is higher when creating a "hardcore" Wii game as they can't port from PS3/360, they have to put resources aside to make a unique ground up title.

Read the news the other day and all I had to say was "about time".

Same story for the past 3 generations.

Exactly, when a Nintendo console is released it has brilliant exclusives, and after they're out it runs out of steam. Yes there is now a 'Second Wave' with NSMB Wii, SMG2 and others. But still, I just wished the Wii had better games out sooner, otherwise I wouldn't have bought an Xbox 360 alongside it.

Nintendo: Focus on HD and Internet Gaming for your next consoles. PLEASE.

Since nsmb for ds has sold soooo many copies , how can you say nsmb for wii wont sell a lot. It comes out in november and has been getting great previews so far.

Yes, they're talking up until this point, as well as once NSMB Wii has been and gone, that's it, they're all out now.

...

The PS3 is in the same boat though, the difference is in hardware performance.

You can't make the same kind of game on the Wii as you can on an 360 or a PS3, they're just much more powerful consoles.

That's because they've been hacked...a lot. And grannies buy them with their pensions (UK dude here).

I could swear I heard the exact same thing just after Super Mario Galaxy was released.
