Defiantly
Hey evryone, I just picked up a DSi for my 7yr old son's birthday next week. He LOVES Peggle on my Ipod touch, so I picked it up. I need some good suggestions for additional games. He's in first grade and is fairly new to gaming (unlike me). I'm looking for some educational titles, as well as; Baseball Racing Board Games Please, if you have any suggestions, could you post them here? RIGHT NOW is my chance to get him into gaming at 7, versus scaring him off at such an early age. Obviously, ESRB rating and actual content should be appropriate. (Especially to the wife). ;-) Thanks for your help guys. Sikh
MLB Pros I know is something they make for the DS. Its called something like that, its fun and will make him happy I sell it a lot at work. Mario Kart is a great racing game, for kids especially but even for everyone else. I love mario kart, have had everyone but the DS one, but thats because i did not want to buy a DS for 1 game. I dont know about board games. ATM im having a brain fart, funny thing I work 6 hours today and sold tons of all around games for the DS so I know I have some board games on mind too gur. Btw, the above 2 I mentioned are E Rated and very good games for the money. Get them used if possible so he has 7 days to try them. Doesnt like them take them back, likes them take them back and exchange for new copies. I have customers do that ALL THE TIME despite how hard strung they are on new copies, because atleast they know they will like it if they tried it first, instead of spending extra money on renting it or etc. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/840862-nintendo-dsi-help-for-an-old-timer-gaming-dad/#findComment-591788742 Share on other sites
Konstanov
Grand Theft Auto has racing in it and a form of baseball. Although you use people's bodies instead of baseballs. betasp
My 7 year old loves the "Lego" series of games, including the batman and indiana jones. He was playing them at 6. That star wars are the best, though. They are the most "violent" things we let him play... google for some videos of gameplay. Sikh
^ haha YES! I would of recommended it if he said other types of games little kids would like. Personally scribblenauts is the best DS game so far in its range. I love how it complements EVERYONE but doesnt allow any profane stuff in it(private parts, etc). Check it out! murkurie
For racing, I think Trackmania is the best. http://www.amazon.com/TrackMania-DS-Ninten...3715&sr=8-1 Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/840862-nintendo-dsi-help-for-an-old-timer-gaming-dad/#findComment-591788786 Share on other sites

Livin in a box
Grand Theft Auto has racing in it and a form of baseball. Although you use people's bodies instead of baseballs. I could only lol at that because of the context. 42 All Time Classics is what my brother enjoys playing (who's 5), Combat of Giants Dinosaurs, Dinosaur King, Pokemon Pearl/Diamond/Platinum, and there's a few others but that's what my brother plays most. He also plays a bit of Professor Layton too, but that's just him.
