2 o/s but only 1 shows up

HELP!!!. I installed windows 7 ultimate today on a seperate hard drive from my vista ultimate, they both work but, i thought i would be able to choose which 1 i wanted to boot into, but, when i go to msconfig only 1 appears, if i'm running vista only vista apppears and vice versa, any ideas people, please
