Fred Derf Veteran Posted November 6, 2009 Veteran Share Posted November 6, 2009 I believe she is running Safari on Mac OS/X. Is there an easy way to add hotmail.com to her list of trusted sites or does Safari not work that way? I was thinking that would solve her cookie issue without interfering with the way that Safari does with the rest of the internet. Buio
This error also started for me recently. I use Firefox on PC, but has set it to block 3rd party cookies. But I had it like that for long, and Hotmail did not give an error before, so Microsoft have changed something on their end. Dunno why I shouldn't be able to log out from Hotmail with 3rd party cookies ignored. I just ignore the error for now.

Cookies track how often you visit various sites and what your preferences are for those sites. If you delete all of your cookies then certain sites will appear as if you had never visited them before. Hotmail wants the ability to create cookies. To solve this problem there should be no need to remove (or delete) cookies. To enable cookies, next to "Accept Cookies:", select the radio button for Always or Only from sites you navigate to. To disable cookies, select the radio button for Never You want to do the bolded part. You do not want to do the red-coloured part.
