Ive managed to lose the address bar in firefox...

Hey,

I, for some reason, cleverly unticked the address bar and now all i have is the tab bar.

Maybe becuase ive been playing around with Strata/Buddy, but i cant right click and restore it. Is there any keyboard short cut / css fix?!

Have you still got the File, Edit, View, etc. row there? If so, right-click on a blank spot in there, then click on Customise, then the address bar should be there and you can just drag it onto the main window. :)

Nope. Literally just got tabs. Ill try and post a screenshot...

OK, bit of a long shot, but you might be able to get to the File, Edit, etc. bit by pressing Alt on the keyboard, like in Internet Explorer. Try Alt + V, then go into Toolbars, then click on Customise.

Add a few bookmarks to your bookmarks toolbar. Right click around the toolbar > Check navigation toolbar. Also, Ctrl + D is hot key for bookmarking.

See your home button-- try right click on that and highlight navigation

also, when you're saving your bookmark make sure you select bookmarks toolbar and not bookmarks menu.

@Trance. - I cant use the bookmarks toolbar, WHEREVER i click i get the new tab etc options.

Im trying to download addons, so i can then open the addons page. But i dont know of any addons that reset the toolbars?

In your profile folder, open localstore.rdf in notepad and search for

chrome://browser/content/browser.xul#nav-bar

Somewhere under that should be a

collapsed="true"

value so change it to

collapsed="false"

Make sure Firefox is closed before doing this

I finally managed to get it back with a combination of compact menu2 and hide menu bar... i wish i had seen night_stalker_z's post earlier!
