+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted November 10, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted November 10, 2009 A new update released for GTA IV PC adds achievements for The Lost and Damned! At present, The Lost and Damned is only available on Xbox 360, after Microsoft reportedly paid R* $50m for two exclusive episodes. However, the terms of the deal were unclear, and nobody knew if it was a timed exclusive or a permanent exclusive. So does this mean The Lost and Damned is making its way to PC? Probably. GTA DLC for the PC. Whodathunkit! Source: http://www.gta4.net/news/4371/the-lost-and...-for-gta-iv-pc/
chicken-royal
Depending how true this is, hopefully it'd be a sign of it coming to the PS3 at some point too. Really want to play TLAD so might make me get GTA IV on PC (already have it on PS3).

what
About ****ing time. I bought GTA4 for the PC and its just sitting there with me bored. Need new things. If you got bored of the normal game, you'll get bored of Lost and Damned. It doesn't add that much extra playability.
ozgeek
I have the Xbox360 GTA4 but do not have the DLC yet but I have the TLaD faceplate for my 360 :)

ozgeek
Well what are you supposed to do when you beat the game? Play a new playthrough? I did GTA4 twice, never bored me. Different ways to complete the game. The second time was completely different to what I did the first time.

I have beat it 3 times because you can't take your save games with you if you re-format your computer.

san.W10
I have beaten the game 3 times. I have beat it 3 times because you can't take your save games with you if you re-format your computer. you CAN take the save games :p first save your old save game folder => C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\savegames folder names are something like this - user_e000047d5b0e0034 copy its contents now, after new install (format), run the game, play little initial part of game, Alt-Tab & head over to the savegame location & you'll find new folder with different name (like user_e00000955b0e0034), just open it & paste the contents. now Alt-Tab into the game & load your save file. done :D

nytiger73
TBoGT will probably come next year sometime. I think the exclusivity is 9 months per episode. So probably late summer or fall for GT.
Yusuf M. Veteran Posted November 16, 2009 Veteran Share Posted November 16, 2009 It's about time. I can't say I'm excited though. GTA IV has been my most disappointing PC game purchase. :/
Sethos
Gee, just like I predicted a few months back during the "Oh, it's coming for teh PS3!!1" - Why some people can draw a comparison between this and PS3 is beyond me. Who bought the exclusivity right? Microsoft. Who owns the primary gaming OS it's now being released on? Who owns GFWL? Gee, logic 101 being put to great use there. As for the news, lovely! Completed GTA IV 3 times, 1 on the 360 and two times on the PC, such an epic game but it was getting a bit stale, I'd love to get a new story tacked on. I did want to buy the episode on the consoles but superior graphics, 60FPS and Keyboard + Mouse certainly beats that low-res laggy console crap. alphaomegainfinity
It's about time. I can't say I'm excited though. GTA IV has been my most disappointing PC game purchase. :/ Myself on the same boat. It is ridiculous to say that I have been playing more San Andreas than IV now a days.
