ThePistols Posted November 11, 2009 Share Posted November 11, 2009 Hi, My Dad has a pc with xp on it and Kerio Personal firewall (free edition). When I was round there there were multiple firewall shield icons in the system tray instead of the usual 1, and I got a prompt to download an update for the firewall from something like lucifer.sunbelt.software.com...somethingupdate.exe. Does this sound genuine? Worried it might be a virus, The computer wasn't responding at all and the firewall was using up all the cpu. Just sounds like a strange link unless the admins have a strange sense of humour (and no I'm not religious). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
+BudMan MVC Posted November 11, 2009 MVC Share Posted November 11, 2009 well since sunbelt makes kerio, if the domain your talking about was .sunbeltsoftware.com and not software.com I would say its the correct domain. software.com is not sunbelt owned domain so that would be be likely to be correct.. but .sunbeltsoftware.com would be their domain and prob ok, admins can use strange host names some times..
