Will a U.S. Wii work in Germany?

I'm looking to buy my German in-laws a Wii for Christmas. They currently live in the US but plan to move back sometime next year. Power shouldn't be an issue but will a US Wii work with German games/televisions? (NTSC vs PAL)

Won't work with games because it's region locked...Not sure about TV.

Most tv's in europe support both a PAL and NTSC signal, it shouldn't be an issue. If its a HDTV, get some component cables for best quality and you won't need to worry about NTSC/PAL.

Depending on the TV, it may work. You will have to look through your manual to see whether the manual supports NTSC 60hz. As for the games, Wiis are region locked so you will need US games. I'd personally suggest a step up transformer as the voltage difference can make a significant difference (germany is 220/380, us is 110/120).
