Quillz
Apple claimed titanium is lighter than aluminum and stronger than steel. So, why would they have seemingly ceased to use a superior metal?
vladmphoto
It got expensive. Not financially feasible.

As proven by your post, people want cheaper goods so it wouldn't be a good business decision to raise prices to change from aluminum to titanium

11222111
without reading any of the other replies I would say not using titanium would allow apple to make even more money from selling their laptops at the same price as noral with ali chasis replacing titanium ones. I dont imagine the end user would ever have the cost savings passed onto them from apple. Jobs need his pocket money y'know. That said the new one piece plastic macbook does look pretty sweet (drop a ton fifty from the price and Im in.)

thealexweb
Titanium is much more expensive than aluminium, so Apple cuts costs yet the price stays the same, very high.

Slacker
how does titanium compare to aluminum in regards to heat dissipation? Could aluminum be better at dissipating heat? But really, who needs a laptop made of titanium anyway?
