Adobe Flash 10.1 Beta Available for Win, Linux, Mac

Link to downloads. Found on TechCrunch. For me it is working great. My Acer Timeline 3810t has an SU9400 and cpu usage in IE8 was low, spiking into the 40% range only a few times while watching a Youtube HD video.

Yeah, waiting for three years. I cannot believe nobody has the expertise and or guts to beat Adobe to it and build a solid 64-bit flash player.

Face it, they consider 64-bit browsing to be so fringe and unimportant that developing 64-bit versions is very low on the list of priorities.

It seems like this doesn't work at all, i uninstalled version 10 and installed 10.1, flash laden websites display no flash content and some even propted me to install the previous version, when i manage addons in IE8 there is no mention of the Flash componant any where

ATI/AMD users need Catalyst 9.11+ to get hardware H.264 decoding. It is not out in final release yet, but beta version can be found. I'd guess final release is not that far away either.

Hardware video decoding of H.264 content in Flash Player 10.1 is supported on AMD/ATI products with UVD2 with the ATI Catalyst? Software Suite, starting with version 9.11 for the ATI Radeon? family of products

Did you install the right version? There's 2 different versions for Windows (a standard plugin, and one for IE)

Windows only. Linux and OS X doesn't provide the necessary support for hardware acceleration for Flash.

I don't think I'll even benefit from this.. I have an ATI Radeon 2400HD :(
