Bugatti Veyron in a Lake

Recommended Posts

Eh, I went to wiki anyway to share the price of the car with a girl I was showing the video with, I wanted to get the exact price of the car. :)

you cant really get the price.

it says he payed around 1 million

I have seen it being sold for 1.8 millon and an enzo being sold for 1.4 million

they where at the same dealer

One phrase: There is no replacement for displacement.

Yeah, you can boost those 2JZ-GTEs and RB26DETTs to over 1000HP, but you still won't reach 253mph. Even then, those i6s won't last long with that much boost, requiring you to rebuild the engine every once in a while.

Until recently, I would agree, but Toyota finally got some sense smacked into them with the upcoming FT86 and LF-A.

Why would you put an RB26 into a supra?

That's a nissan motor.

and honestly... it's all about the 4AG.

oh and you say he is a bad drive. I bet you any thing he drives better then ANYONE here

I some how doubt any of us have a Enzo and Buggati and who knows what else. and are one of the biggest auto salvagers in the world

And you would be patently wrong. I know two of us that have experience at the grassroots level of racing and a third that makes his living test driving cars that frequent this board. Also anyone who has never missed the road by ten feet go ahead and raise your hand. You are all better drivers than this guy. I would put the smart money on EVERYONE here driving better than him.

I doubt any of us have a 1887 navy revolver either, but I know pointing it loaded at my head is a bad idea. So he owns a Buggati, that makes him rich. It has no impact on his driving ability. This person simply allowed his balls to exceed his skill. On a closed race course that would make him very unpopular. On the open road it makes him dumb and is simply inexcusable reckless behavior.

yeah I take back what I said. I saw it was he was distracted by a pelician flying in the air. I thought he had seen it on the road and crash trying to avoid it.

I dont even get that distracted and I dont have my license yet.

So to be a good driver you need to own an enzo or a bugatti? Most of the time those who own such vehicles are probably some rich idiots who have no idea about cars.

Haven't you ever seen a Ferrari on the road trying to find 3rd gear?

As for the pelican I too would have tried to avoid collision (you never think that thinks can be worse, you see the obstacle hit the brakes and try to avoid it).

I am happy that the veyron died and not the pelican... if he has one he can afford another one.

yeah but he wasnt trying to avoid it. he was looking at a flying one. he should have his cars took away

it is not the same... at ALL

... blablabla obvious stuff

What did I say in my post? The issue is not the car. The issue is the driver wasn't driving safely.

A smart driver must use his judgment to drive at the safest speed possible with the vehicle he's driving, regardless of what the vehicle is. They all operate in the same way. It's obvious they handle differently compared to FWD econoboxes, but that's where the driver's ability and thinking comes in.

If you drive safely, you won't crash. I can't see why and how any of you would argue that sentence.

oh and you say he is a bad drive. I bet you any thing he drives better then ANYONE here

lol... Because being rich and being able to afford expensive cars automatically improves your driving skills...

Did I say that? What I meant was that you can push straight 6 engines as much as you want up to like 1000hp (and I love i6 engines), but there's no replacement for displacement. You can argue as much as you want on the benefits of forced induction (like reaching 1000hp), but displacement is what ultimately wins and why the Bugatti's 1000hp w16 will beat any 1000hp i6.

lol, wtf is so weird about a pelican that you should look at him when driving, for god's sake :p

revvo I challenge you to take on my BMW P84/5 with a Bugatti W16 :D (yeah I know we will only be able to do this a few times before my vehicle is only good for recycling)

I have only been in a Z4M and indeed the I6 will "send shiver's down your spine".

Apparently the owner has bought another one:

He seem can't get enough with Veyron, hope he won't end up in lake again.

Btw, first post after dormant for more than a year :)

    • Glad these prices are starting to come down, but that is still crazy. I bought the 2TB 9100 Pro (slightly more expensive version with PCIe 5.0) last year for $240.
    • The 2TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSD hits lowest price in over three months by Sayan Sen Yesterday, we covered a really good deal wherein you can get a 4TB TeamGroup T-FORCE G50 NVMe PCIe Gen4 SSD for a low price of just $400 with a special discount coupon. That's just $100 per TB, making it a very good offer during these hard times. The deal is still live, so you can check it out in its dedicated article here if you do not want to miss out. Meanwhile, if you don't have that kind of budget but still wish to buy an SSD for a good price, the 2TB variant of the TeamGroup SSD at $280 its lowest price in over three months. Meanwhile, those seeking 2TB but faster performance can check out Samsung's 990 PRO, which has hit the lowest price also in the last quarter or so, as it's on sale for $370 (purchase links under the specs table down below). Thus, you want a faster drive, get the 990 Pro, or you want more capacity, grab the TeamGroup 4TB linked in the first para. The 990 PRO is a PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD and still one of the fastest drives available today for under $500. Speaking of fast, sequential reads and writes are rated at 7450 MB/s and 6900 MB/s, respectively. The random throughputs for reads and writes are 1400K IOPS and 1550K IOPS, respectively. The 990 PRO is based on Samsung's 7th Gen V-NAND flash, and it too is TLC. It packs 2 gigs of LPDDR4 DRAM cache, which helps the random performance. The endurance rating for this is 1200 TBW (terabytes written), which should be sufficient for most users. The Samsung 990 PRO is compatible with the PlayStation 5, but if you are going to use the 990 PRO on a PC, check out the Samsung Magician app that lets you track your drive's health, update its firmware, customize various settings, and more. • If you can't spell a simple word that 2nd graders learn, your entire argument is suspect.
    • And here goes the "Won't someone think of the children" brigade. Get stuffed mate. This has NOTHING to do with making the internet safe. It's about tracking adults, spying on your online activity, and sending the boys around when they don't like something you post. Also, again, parliament have voted TWICE against this, and Starmer is going ahead anyway. THAT is anti-democratic bullsh**. They will use this law to track you, they will use this law to control you, and they will use this law to punish you if they don't like what you do, even if it's legal. And your data? Say bye bye to that. It'll be on the darkweb in weeks. I'm not some rando online. I've been an IT professional for 40 years, many of it in security. I know exactly what this means and what will happen to your data. I do not consent and I will not comply.
    • "...but it may not be Microsoft's fault" seems like a reasonable way to tease what is going on without leaving the user with a false impression that an update is the problem. A title isn't a summery, it is meant to entice the user to read the article. It should not contain a misleading premise; which this title does not. You could maybe complain that the first paragraph should have included that detail. The writing style popularized over 100 years ago in newspapers will cover the most important information as soon as possible with details and nuance added later; the idea being that with each new paragraph you have less of the reader's focus.
