Google now lets you comment under each search result.

I just noticed next to each search result in google (if you are logged into your google account) you can comment on an item in the search results.

Hope this hasn't already been posted. Just noticed it. I added a comment to the main www.neowin.net search result.

here is an example.

Comments are personal

Want to comment on a result?

Click Comment to open a text box and type your comment. You'll see it the next time this result appears for any of your searches. Comments are a great way to save and recall any thoughts you had or notes you took about a particular page.

oh, how worthless.

Left a positive comment of course from my end. You can probably tell from my account name there and display name here. :D

Nobody else can see your comments other than you, and you can only see your comments when logged in with your Google account.

I knew they were private, but can someone please tell me why the button says "Make a public comment" ?

Ha good point!

I think this is a step in the right direction.. it would be really helpful if they let the user manage "projects".. so along with comment a quick save button that puts it in a project folder that is private to the user.. I think that feature would be extremely helpful and would save me time from bookmarking multiple pages and having them local to a computer.
