VGAs: Uncharted 2, AssCreed 2, Batman, MW2, and L4D2 are GOTY noms

I hope it doesn't they don't need encouragement to crank out another 5 hour game with dubious multiplayer features. Batman deserves GoTY.

lolwut? Over Dragon Age? Get out.

I only voted for what I actually played. Only game I did not play was Scribblenauts. I dont play RPG's because I think they are no fun at all. So yeah, lolwut.

Anyone who doesn't vote for Demons Souls obviously hasn't played it and picks up an automatic go to jail, do not pass go but do collect your fail :p

Its my GOTY over Uncharted 2. Uncharted 2 is a more impressive game on most of the tick boxes but no games made me feel like Demons Souls in a long time.

Horrible voting system.

I don't think Andy's played Uncharted 2.

Even although it's unfair not to give opinion, if you've played Uncharted 2 and vote anything over it graphically you have a screw loose. Killzone 2 gives it a challenge, but it's a typical FPS palette, Uncharted 2 actually has colour :p

34766_89271_A.jpg

Web design on that site is shoddy, spelling mistakes and using wrong images, thats Opflash2 image not MW2.

Actually, that image is Modern Warfare 2. You can clearly see the M16A4 as well as the Call of Duty-type explosion and aiming reticle. :p

Anyway, I have a strong feeling that Modern Warfare 2 will be GOTY.

I believe they changed the photo, Anaron ( You can see he's linking from the server ) It was indeed an Operation Flashpoint 2 image before.

In that case, I retract the first part of my previous post.

What the point in the nominations we already know what the morons have chosen.

MW2.

I think it's due to a shortage in the market for military shooters. There's been a lot of sci-fi and horror stuff but no new AAA military shooters recently besides MW2. Smart marketing and timing by Activision.

You're being serious?

They have them on a two year cycle, it was just a coincidence it landed when it did.

you have a screw loose.

Well he did vote ODST as best original sound track so that sounds about right! Scots aren't known for their taste anyway. :>

Try the game before bashing it, it's rather good. Won't get any votes regardless though, too late in the year to be really counted.

would that mean L4D2 wouldnt get any votes? they came out on the same day

Horrible voting system.

really? a brit voting for NHL over FIFA. Did hell freeze over?

Football is for chavs ;)

If NBA2010 was on the list I would have voted for that, but NHL10 was a close 2nd for me anyway.

Marty o'Donnel is an epic composer/artist.

And no I haven't played U2, but I wouldn't have voted it best gfx either even if I had. Game looks like plastic (N) Tbh no game has really astounded me graphically this year. I could have voted KZ2 but then I remembered all the low res textures dotted around the maps and the crap shadows.

Edited by DrunknMunky

Uncharted 2 overall for me is GOTY no doubt. Although I feel Batman AA (deservedly), or MW2 (undeservedly) may nick it.

And no I haven't played U2, but I wouldn't have voted it best gfx either even if I had.

I think after playing the game, you may change your mind ;)

    • So, recently, I saw on the news (yes, on this website) that Samsung is introducing features where it can provide education using AI-powered sets, and because of this, I got concerned about whether the AI gives out wrong info during education sessions, causing controversies in the process. What are your thoughts on this?
    • TCL's Bang & Olufsen soundbar is 40% off on Amazon by Ivan Jenic The TCL Design Series A65K is currently $299.99, down from $499.99. That's 40% off and $200 saved on a soundbar tuned by Bang & Olufsen, which is not a combination you'd normally expect at this price point (purchase link below). Bang & Olufsen doesn't typically show up in the sub-$500 category. The Danish audio brand is known for speakers that cost several times more, so having their acoustic tuning on a $300 soundbar is very appealing. TCL handles the hardware, B&O handles the sound engineering, and the result is what the company calls "accessible luxury." Still, accessible luxury isn’t full-fledged luxury, so don’t expect wonders. But this is a decent soundbar, nevertheless. The A65K is a true 3.1.2 channel system with nine physical drivers, including genuine up-firing height speakers for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Many soundbars at this price simulate overhead effects through virtual processing, rather than actual hardware. So, you’re getting the real deal. The design is unusually slim for a system with Atmos compatibility. The bar is just under 2 inches deep and should fit beneath most TV screens. The wireless subwoofer is also compact at roughly 14 x 14 x 5 inches. Total output is 460W, and you can connect to the soundbar via HDMI eARC, Bluetooth 5.3, or USB. There are also eight sound modes through the TCL Home app and an AI calibration capability. Although it’s worth mentioning that AI capabilities in most of these devices are inconsistent, to say the least, and that shouldn’t be the biggest selling point. Still, at $299.99, the A65K is a strong buy for anyone who wants a soundbar that sounds and looks noticeably better than what this price range usually offers. And the Bang & Olufsen branding surely sounds nice - pun intended.
