Titoist
... and got a iPhone 3G S 16Gb. I was always against it because its very common and everyone has it, and those that do have it, have ego's that reach the Sun. But, since my contract was up for renewal and any phone was free (including the iPhone) I decided "what the hell, ill get it". Now on a more serious note, I have several questions. What should I do to achieve maximum security on my phone (without getting MobileMe) and how do I customize the UI? leph555
what do you mean by "maximum security"? and in order to customize the UI you have to jailbreak the iPhone (IDK if its legal to post the link on neowin) but just search blackra1n on google plenty of skins on the forums here: macthemes2.net and you will also find all the other instructions you need :)
Titoist
clap clap ;)18Gb hey.. guess it must be one of those Chinese iPhones :D fixed :p What I mean by "maximum security" is that no one can connect to my phone or hijack it or whatever. Yes, I have read some of the horror stories on Neowin concerning hackers and such.
SimplySchizo
only way to customize is by jailbreaking. once done, try using winterboard.

I guess thats alot of jailbroken phones on the "Post your iPhone theme" page. yes they are all jailbroken, and it's nothing to cry over your warranty about. it's completely safe and i did it within 2 days of having my iPhone, if it bricks then just reflash it using itunes, and if it's a physical failure, they will never know because it just gets replaced in the shop without question ;D for maximum security, don't install ssh. job done :) if you do install ssh, just google "iphone change ssh password" and again, job done :) good luck
PyX
Well if you're looking for the maximum security, certainly don't jailbreak it ... lol
