I am on 50mb Virgin media, been happy so far, but its been disconnected the past 12-13 hours.

My modem page says it failed to get the config from the tftp server, but everything else is ok, sync'd etc

I cant get hold of VM, I call up, follow the menu to tech support for broadband cable, but then it just gives an engaged tone, doesnt even give me the option to que, im guessing they are hammered.

the service status on their page http://status-cable.virginmedia.com/vmstatus/summary.do has broadband marked as Red, however ther eare no details at all in fact the text says there are no problems, calling the status number 0800 561 0061 also says there are no outages affecting me.

anyone else affected ? anyone got info ? this vodafone connection im on only gets gprs in my house, lol

Must be local or possibly a modem fault then, its just their tech line is soooo busy, will try again later.

I only have the 50mb (DOCSIS3 ) broadband with them, no other services.

the modem behaves though as it should, it seems to think the tftp server just isnt responding to requests according ot the log.

Will post any updates.

Its back up now everythign is fine, I love the service as well, the 50mb is excellent, this is the secodn hiccup I have had though the first is when they didnt take my bill by direct debit as arranged, then cut me off 2 days after installation. they said I had gone over my crdit limit, but this was due to them not taking the money rather than me not paying it.

anyways back on track now, hopefully this will be the last problem for a while.

    • It saddens me when cars are such dull colours now. Mine is bright metallic blue and I absolutely adore it for standing out in contrast to that depressing backdrop of traffic.

    • lol it was a typo, fixed! haha imagine an actual 4TB Gen4 NVMe for $40 in 2026
    • Get over it, has nothing to do with my point.
    • I really don't like these rounded corners and huge borders in the viewport. They just waste space without anything in return.
