Recommended Posts

Well i need a good external battery pack for the ipod.. i guess its too late to order one and have it here by wednesday without having to pay out a huge overnite fee so i need to know of one i could get locally...

local stores

Best Buy

Office deopt

Staples

Target

Walmart

Office max

Radio shack

Batteries +(seems where i should try hehe)

just something that plugs into the dockconnector and has batteries.. heck if i could find an energizer one that runs on AA batteries that would be a big plus to cram more batteries into it...

I need this by wednesday as i plan to carry only my ipod on black friday and camping out starting thursday at noon

Just a good suggestion..

yes i know its not a month yet... but i said i would be back around black friday... and its been a month on Mars already :p

No, you can't.

  • 3 weeks later...

you could make something if you can figure out how to work with the TINY 30 pin dock connector.

the dock connector on most iPods allow for charging from +5 and +12 volts, which are normally used with the USB (+5v) and FireWire (+12v) dock cables. there are also pins for USB and FireWire signalling, stereo audio output and input, video output, and serial comms, among other things. lots of cool stuff could be done here ;)

if you could come up with +12 volts in portable form, i say that would be pretty easy to do. could be done with an Apple dock-to-FireWire 400 cable to get you out of the connector, and yer choice of either cutting off the FireWire plug and splicing in there, or using a female 6-pin connector at the power source for easy disconnect. note that though the 5th Gen iPods "Video" and later dropped FireWire capability, they still charge from it just fine.

don't try this at home, kids

That's 47% off and $80 saved on a pair of wireless on-ear headphones from one of the most recognizable names in audio. The Major V is Marshall's take on a long-lasting everyday headphone.
