Dual channel/triple channel ram

this might be a stupid questions but i just want to make sure...

will triple channel memory work work on a dual channel motherboard?

from what i gather the RAM is totally the same but triple channel memory is sold in multiples of 3

as u can see it brakes it up into sections of triple channel and non triple channel

EDIT:

ok i looked up supported memory (should of done that in the first place) and it does have triple channel memory on the list (doesn't run in triple channel of course)

To answer your questions accurately, yes.

Triple Channel RAM and Dual Channel RAM is the same exact stuff. The only difference is they sell either two or three in the pack.

That being said, you won't get the performance increases that Triple Channel brings on a Dual Channel board.
