How to do a proper re-direct on IIS 7

Recommended Posts

Guys,

I have three websites I host on my server via IIS 7.5, and all is working quite well. I also have MDaemon running basic mail on those three domains. I have the WorldClient resolving to it's default port of 3000.

I want to make it easier for my users to get to the webmail option by having an address like 'webmail.xxxxxx.com' resolve to the webmail port, instead of having them use 'http://xxxxxx.com:3000'.

I tried adding that type of address to the site bindings, but then it causes the site node in IIS to fault & then it takes the whole site off-line.

What's the best or 'right' way to do what I want?

Thanks in advance...
