Proud PS3 owner(New)

Hi guys,

I just ordered my PS3 a while ago. I always wanted to buy it and its my dream come true..

Now, I am a new user and i am not sure which games to buy...

Help is much appreciated.

There are many great games for PS3, including the ones that the previous poster mentioned. An amazing game that will probably become the sleeper hit of the year: Demon's Souls.

I would start out with Uncharted, MGS4 and Infamous, you should be able to pick them all up from the bargain bin.

if you want to start out slow, in addition to the games tech star mentioned, battlefield bad company is also a good inexpensive choice.

Congratulations on the purchase :). Now's my chance to pimp WipEout HD again. Like Jimmy0 said, it's available on the Playstation Network only, and it's definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of racing games. I don't think it's very expensive these days, either...

If you liked the other MGS games, then MGS4 will definitely be up your alley. If you didn't care for those ones, I don't see MGS4 changing your opinion. I enjoyed it, but I know a few people who didn't bother finishing it. The only other game I've finished on PS3 is Resistance 2, and I probably wouldn't pay full price for it now. Try to find it in a bargain bin if you can. The multiplayer on that game is definitely a good time.

If you are in the UK you can pick up the WipeoutHD and Fury on disc now. Tried searching, seems not in America yet though :(
