KPark214
Is this basic laptop emachine worth buying on the black friday at walmart? It wont be used for anything other then surfing and maybe some word docs. The price is $198 Here is the link http://www.black-friday.net/walmart-ad-scan.html Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/848322-walmart-flyer/ Share on other sites
episode
Yes, it will do those things. For a 5am opening, you would have to get there probably before midnight to get it. Is it worth that to you? Find the laptop online, how much does it go from normally? KPark214
So is sitting out all night in a line worth $200 to you? This will give you your answer. Would it be better to go to best buy and buy a netbook for 179.99 which is a compaq or officemax for a netbook for 149.99 which is an acer? Andrew Lyle Global Moderator Posted November 23, 2009 Global Moderator Share Posted November 23, 2009 What are the specs on it? It only says 2GB ram... if it leaves out the processor speed, that cant be a good thing. still1
Is it worth sitting all night in line? I would go for a netbook for $200. It can do web surfing and word processing. acnpt
Whoa, if the same prices were in the UK, I'd pickup the 32" TV, blu-ray player, rockband set, tomtom, football, basketball, american football, couple games and Miley Cyrus. :p Anybody from the UK think that the flyer looks just like a Lidl/Aldi one. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/848322-walmart-flyer/#findComment-591885690 Share on other sites

KPark214
For what you want to do it should be fine. So opinions on here which one I should go buy? The walmart one for $198 emachine, the best buy one for 179.99 for a compaq netbook or officemax an acer 149.99. Please give opinions of all of them. I want to know which would be better to use for web surfing and office stuff plus maybe a little gaming on. Not to hardcore of gaming though so please don't ask me on which games I would play. Behemoth
Go for it. Very good value machine. I agree - if you can get your hands on one (I have a feeling each store will get about 3) then I would definitely pick one up. More horsepower and a bigger screen than a netbook, plus if you're wanting to do any gaming.... I couldn't imaging gaming on a netbook.
