Windows 7 support by the end of the year?

I don't know how many times I have to say this, but that's because you are probably using an older Macbook. Moreover it doesn't work 100%. You are using drivers that aren't optimised for the specific OS you are using (Win Vista drivers). So at the very least in terms of just overall performance you are likely to take a hit somewhere.

Apple edited the article on Windows 7 Bootcamp support on January 6th 2010

Summary

Apple is working to support Microsoft Windows 7 (Home Premium, Professional, and Ultimate) with Boot Camp in Mac OS X. This support will require a software update to Boot Camp that we plan to release as soon as it's ready.

Kinda Sounds like Blizzard entertainment "As soon as it's ready"

Personally I wouldn't think it was such a big deal, but they had it on the BCC - and in several top name British newspapers.

I would be happy if they were just ironing out a few bugs, but a clear indication of an alternative time scale would have been helpful too.

Meh, it's just as useless as ever. Not nearly as bad acidental right click/select on the desktop. But my 13" late 2009 Macbook pro keeps locking up when trying to use right click on the trackpad. (So far only seen on the Web and mostly when watching YouTube - although it happened once on this page too). (By locking up I mean no mouse/trackpad movement and no inputs are possible).

It 'recovers' after a couple of minutes, but after it does, it dumps the Apple trackpad drivers completely (so no multitouch at all) and you are left with just basic trackpad support. (Which I assume is the built in drivers in Windows 7 taking over).

I swear it looks like Apple really doesn't give a sh*t about quality control for their Windows drivers. I mean it's not like they need to support a billion different hardware configrations, like those that exist in the 'normal' PC world.

Also still no 'pinch' to zoom - or other useful gestures, even though the OS fuly supports it.

    • The original word arts were far more awesome! With their own preconfigured fill patterns, 3D layout, etc, with options to fine-tune their size and colors as desired. I especially loved the ones circled below and still miss them from my primary school years: I frankly use them less these days 'cause the new one isn't as straightforward fine art as what we originally had, taking time and effort to get back to the same graphics quality as the original offered, which I simply don't have enough of for merely fine-tuning my presentation titles. Same with the built-in picarts selection. Bring back the original pre-configured options for word art then I'll be using them far more frequently in my presentations even today.
    • What didn't you understand about that was mainly referring to Google, Microsoft, etc. keeping your passwords. Password Management is a key service of Bitwarden and it's not going anywhere. In any case they do offer export to other Password management services, backup/download of passwords, and the already mentioned on-prem option. I don't agree with the OP to use the free option as it's better to be an actual customer IMO. They don't just don't delete accounts like the big tech companies with no recourse which was the main concern of this article. I was confused if the author was trying to sell this setup? It should be obvious to anyone reading this article this solution is overly complicated and overkill for most users.
    • I got this notification just now in Android: So I went in to disable the "Other" or "Marketing" notifications in Notifications management: But it came through the Now Playing? So if I disable that I no longer get what's Now Playing in Notifications? I'm a paying subscriber, not on the free plan... can they sink any lower?
